I've literally seen him say in one interview he's retiring and in another the same day he's fighting until 40. It's just how he is.
of course this fight was always happening, it was just never happening in England early this year for a far less money than the Saudis can offer. Neither team truly wanted to lose that Saudi money.
People really think Fury is afraid to fight Usyk? He won all his world titles on away soil. Chased Wlad for years until Wlad was left with no choice or vacate. He went to USA a few months after coming back from a 3 year drug binge and losing 140lbs and was 50% fit when he took Wilder on.
Yet people think he was afraid of a former cruiserweight? Yeah sure.
Like any major boxing star, give them the right deal and they'll fight. They didn't become stars by being scared but they get so big that they know their worth.Comment

As for Fury, what he says depends on what mood he's in but he's a great self-promoter. He just said he's more interested in being on the Forbes' list so whatever his motivation, I am glad the fight is getting made. To be honest, money is the reason both are taking this fight or all boxers fight. Eddie is looking for Abu Dhabi to host Wilder-Joshua and China to give site fee for Zhang-Joshua but its just that he talks more rather than get stuff done behind the scene first.Comment

Usyk is very susceptible to being stopped after witnessing he can't take body shots! Fury is big strong and has good lateral movement plus Usyk only has stopped quitters at heavyweight, not real men!Comment

Time for Fury to show who is boss and all the people who have **** talked Fury for a year just because the fight didn't happen at that time will be all up on his nuts again calling Usyk an overrated cruiserweight, so predictable.Comment

I was actually taking a dig at Eddie...he's been telling us about AJ-Wilder for a year just to announce afterward that it won't. Warren simply told us that this is a game-changer and I can see what he means now. He was right.

I can't see some rich place not willing to host it at some point, so it's all about the fighters being willing also
AJ v Zhang in China would be great too. Zhang is 40 his mandatory shot won't be happening for about another year, so he should just be looking to make as much money as possible at this age. But really, I don't see it happening, China doesn't seem overly interested in investing in major sporting events these days. And no way Hearn let's AJ fight Zhang unless there's serious dough involved. I think the middle Eastern countries would put up more money for him to fight Wilder than Zhang.

And then they'll move on to saying Hrgovic or Zhang can beat him, even though they would barely lay a glove on him.Comment
