Canelo and fatso suliman didn't think it was crazy to fight Junior Makabu? There had to be something shady going on or Canelo just wanted to fight the weakest CW for another trinket

Not prime Kovalev for sure, but Kovalev had just KO'd an undefeated 28yr-old Anthony Yarde a couple months prior to facing Canelo. Kovalev was certainly the lowest hanging fruit among the LHW champions at the time, but it was still a fair risk by Canelo to move up that much given the fact that he is really a natural 154lber. Charlo, as we will all see tomorrow, is going to look like a physical specimen and be stronger than ever at 168lbs.

What a load of nonsense, before bivol took him to school at 175 there was talk about fighting usyk or makabu at a catchweight of 190. There was no issue with the weight beating a faded there for the taking kovalev. This 175 isn't my weightclass talk conveniently started after the bivol fight to take the shine away from his victory by downplaying it "the weight is too much" "i was vegan this camp" why not rematch bivol at 168 if that's the case.

kovalev was nowhere near the fighter he once was! he just had a tough grueling fight where he almost got knocked out by yarde and then fought clenelo without any recovery time. kovalev was also knocked out just a couple fights prior against elieder alvarez. the kovalev win don't mean **** in my book. kovalev at his best or even past his best but fully rested schools the red head.

It was not crazy because it was an obvious cherry pick.
