You can say what you want about Vitali, but at least he's accepting fights with young contenders/prospects without a stack of losses.

wow, Kevin Johnson really lucked out on that one, didnt he? beat up nobodies and has beens to get his title shot.

Id MUCH rather have Vitali fight Povetkin, Chambers, Dimitrenko or Valuev.

        Booooo.

Vitali has hinted he doesn't have too much time left in the sport. If this is his last year or two I'd really like to see him in relevant fights.

At least he's staying active though.

          Valuev is afraid of him.

Dimitrenko would be an easier fight and a poorer choice than Johnson, since he would be coming off a loss.

Povetkin and Chambers are Wladimir's mandatories.

I am not at all impressed with Kevin Johnson. at least Dimitrenko has a good punch and is about as tall as Vitali, which would be interesting to see. unlike the Johnson fight, which will be a sad drubbing of Johnson where he wont even tickle Vitali with his light punches and low workrate.

I would literally rather see Vitali fight Maskaev, Holyfield or James Toney before Kevin Johnson.

                Kevin Johnson?

All he really has is a good jab, no power to back Vitali up or threaten him. I suspect Vitali won't back pedal and counter in this fight but take the initiative and make a statement.

Yes. And if Arreola and Johnson go on to win world titles in the future, it will be good for Vitali's legacy!

Knocking out an old Maskaev at the end of his career would prove nothing.
