Well, those of us who picked Lubin to win owe a real lot to those judges...

Note: I can't ascertain if Baltimore picked Opetaia in time, so I gave him the 20 points in any case. PICK EM CREW , please let me know if the decision is correct, or if Baltimore was late with his pick.

          Results:

          Opetaia KO early
          Lubin DEC clear
          Alvarez DEC wide

It was a 5-star fight on BoxRec. Should have been included in the Pick ‘Em.

Pickem’s choice of fights were always an issue for me but I just stopped complaining at some point and let it be cuz that wasnt gonna change the ass whooping that Im gonna dish out.

Ugas-Barrios and Gassiev-Wallin were supposed to be in play.

True, but Ramos didn't do himself any favors by coasting for most of the second half of the fight.

don't know if the 5* got taken into account this time (it normally does) but the thing was the Pickem crew (Koba and NCUppercut supported by me, Tata and MikeyG ) didn't wanna do more than three fights but to be honest we could have done 5 or even six this weekend (maybe the Elijah Garcia fight) - its not only five stars but also whether for belts - so the Opetaia and Canelo fights were 2 out of three leaving one out of the Lubin, Ugas and Wallin fights - Lubin was chosen as it looked the most appealing.

Some weeks the Wallin fight would be a shoe-in. Sometimes we get Joshua-Helenius or similar because there's not much else on. My gripe would be with the damn promoters - why is Hearn and the Gassiev fight promoter running fights the same weekend as a Canelo fight?

Edit - last year the Marius-Opetaia fight got left out - kind of oversight as everyone slept on Jai - and I for one raised the question why. So this time I said we can't leave him out again.

Another important criterion that gets looked at is the betting odds - all fights should have the underdog as no worse than +600 in the odds

Why no more than 3 fights per week? Too hard? Scared? lol.

I think he is hesitant to get hit which is fine if you are a boxer mover but not so much if you are a pressure fighter - I could see that in the luke santamaria fight and that time the judges were kind to him - i mean, he won the fight but not as wide as the scores
