People still don’t understand anyone can put on more mass or take off a little mass it seems.
pac and floyd used to fight heavier guys in the ring

canelo fought a heavier guy in the ring, bivol and got his ass waxed, he fought a heavier guy in kovalev and waxed him but did he not have a hydration clause on kov, a clause on rocky fielding and probably other clauses, so some are saying canelo is small, even tho he was weighing more that his rival ggg at 154 ring weight and im sure he was more than that listed 171 or 172 when he moved to 160 too so that cant be right, when canelo actually fought heavier guys he often resorted to clauses, he put a clause on jacobs too if i recall lol, his fans are unreal lol

He was 170 against Lemieux and for every fight he held the IBF belt. The graphic is above.

So Canelo was weighing more at 154 than Golovkin was at 160

Wait, are you saying that Canelo, who weighed in at 172 in the ring ten years ago is still only fighting at 172 in the ring now??

Kovalev had a fight morning hydration clause, and a second hydration clause before ring walk from what I've read.

He had also fought six weeks prior.

making 154 to 168 is 14Ibs before u can fight at that weight, now if u observe certain guys u might think they look the same etc but u then have to factor in how much weight each guy is cutting to make weight, some guys are small at a weight and some bigger, its a confusing mess at times because guys are supposed to fight other guys about the same weight, not short circuit weigh classes as is done now

i dont think anyone knows how much 154 charlo weighs in the ring nor 168 canelo as all these nice hbo graphics we put up no longer exist sadly so it can be pie in the sky at times, it should be mandatory fight night weights in contracts i would say

a good guy 2 classes above another good guy should very very often beat that guy fairly easy but canelo is not looking the sharpest since bivol, it doesnt look like a blip either but i still think he should have enough to beat charlo

As an Irish slave to the British Empire I'd just like to say that this post is a miracle of ******ity. The deciding factor will be Charlo's funky footwork. Man should've been a skater. If he can get an angle for a few sneaky counters in under Canelo's elbows he'll maybe succeed in paralyzing him (temporarily). Jermall will appear in his corner before the last round embracing him, inspiring a knockout finish, for Canelo. Money talks, bs walks

I dont think people really appreciate the difference in people build types, for example amir khan when was face to face with canelo had no worries, he said this is fine but this is what he said after the fight

"INTIMIDATING Canelo Alvarez’s ‘huge back’ made Amir Khan ask, ‘What am I doing here?’ – Brit claimed he only took the fight because Floyd Mayweather ‘was being a p****’"

This stock tank davis at a weighin

                  gervonta-davis-4.jpg
strong powerful compact build like canelo below

                  canelo-alvarez-dazn-deal-hbo-boxing-dead-header.jpg
this type of build has its advantages and disadvantages, a very good guy can outbox them and if they are bigger than them as well, like bivol was, its a bad night for the smaller stockier guy, tank would have the same problems with certain guys, if he cant hurt them hes in big problems

Coming in too heavy could be a recipe for disaster. Maybe try that in a tune-up fight to see if the speed and stamina are still there at the higher weight.
