Only one man beat Cotto and he need it plaster to do so. If Manny can beat him, he is truly number 1.

yeah cause the other (clottey) didnt get the judges to see what most people saw! and mosley was not the same mosley that dismantled margarito.. truth is i think pacman will outfox him all night and if he's connecting, late stoppage.. cotto will be ko'd..Comment

It's interesting that this usually great Mexican trainer is edging his way into the news limelight so often these days. We never used to hear anything either about, or from, him.
Perhaps he's trying to find the key to world fame like the Roach has done ( with, of course just Manny P). Saying how great Mayweather is, causes some of the "glory" to rub off on his own fighter Marquez, who, he's been reminding us, went the WHOLE distance with the Mayweather "genius".
As for the upcoming fight between Manny P. and Cotto, unless Cotto was really damaged by the Margarito KO, he should be able to handle the smaller, weaker, faster man. And we could talk about it 24 hours a day, but in the end it'll depend on what sort of training camp each had, as well as being able to take advantage of some flaw, at a moment's notice. [Not to mention the REAL level each fighter has arrived at by fight night].
Like Manny did against Hatton, who went in face first, with dropped hands, and deserved what he got.Comment

Imo Nacho is just telling the truth no string attached. Unlike some other trainer/fighter who just can't accept defeat and still think their boy or themselves are better. He's seen Pac like phenom and mad respect to him for saying that.

Trianer Nacho Beristain is singing the praises of Manny Pacquiao. Nacho's best fighter, Juan Manuel Marquez, gave Pacquiao the two toughest fights of his career. Marquez has been chasing Pacquiao for a trilogy bout since losing a close split decision in 2008. Nacho also trained Oscar De La Hoya for last December TKO loss to Pacquiao. Quoted by the The Philippine Star, Nacho appeared on ESPN's Spanish TV program "Golpe a Golpe" and broke down the November 14 bout between Manny Pacquiao and WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. Nacho Beristain is looking for some of the "limelight" that the Roach has been vociferously
"backing into"... You can hardly find a boxing site which doesn't have the Roach giving his opinion on practically everything, usually without being asked.Comment
