Any1 can look great & impose new skills when fighting has beens & over hyped garbage, but when manny finds himself in the ring with a better oponent & he starts to get hit trust me he's gonna go right back to his normal type of fight. Trowing punches like a crazy man.

Well... Few would attempt to come back after beeing hit by bricks...

I "like" when people talk on how fighter A is going to demolish fighter B, and they talk about the weapons fighter A is going to deliver... I just don`t understand why don`t they talk on the same qualities of the opponent... They talk as if Pacquaio is stepping into the ring with a punching bag, and will be attempting to demonstrate his terrific left hook, which will land with 100% probability... Why to talk about it at all???

Pacquaio has a great left, yes, i admit it! But so does Cotto! Actually Cotto`s left to the body is so great, that he knocks people out with it!!! Why not to mention this?!?!

Any fight is not about the favorite punching the underdog till the ko... It is about the match-up, the styles, the arsenals... I would like the situation to be looked at from a different angle. How long can Pacquaio take Cotto`s hooks to the body??? Damn! Manny is going to be in "The World of Trouble" for sure!!! I don`t know for how long can he take those devastating body punches! Cotto is very good at it...

Sorry, for uninformative post.... just got angry...

      P.S. both Pacquaio`s and Cotto`s fan!

The issue is both fighter's strengths and weaknesses are pretty widely known by people who follow boxing so naturally people will emphesize what they see as the major determining factors. For cotto its his bodywork, jab, patience and strength. Pac is speed, unorthodox stance and style. It all boils down what people think will more likely neutralize the other, strength vs speed/style and at this point, people are tired of 2nd guessing Pac.

Don't get me wrong, Cotto is an amazing fighter, however he's probably at 90-95% of what he was pre Marg and at this level, that difference will not get him the benefit of the doubt.

Pacquiao. Manny is indeed fast and has good power but Cotto
has been hit by bigger bombs and recovered to win with exception
to Margarito. With that said, Pacquiao will land but he won't stop
Cotto from coming forward and Manny is not a defensive wizard
and only uses speed and movement to get out of harms way and
Cotto knows how to cut the ring off very well. I think Cotto has
this one the closer it gets but Manny has a chance for sure BUT
I still am leaning towards Cotto.

              I agree,.....

Nacho just wants that job!! since his previous fighters never stopped Pac he wants and needs to be the one who trains the boxer who will stop Pacquiao!!

I dont blame him for what he is doing, I would of probably done it too, though not everyone is going to be happy with me and in my side!!

Lets see what happens, though Cotto REALLY DOES need a new trainer, a new and BETTER trainer.

If juan manuel marquez came within 1 point of beating manny in march of 08, he even hurt manny a few times in that fight, Iam pretty sure cotto has a really good chance of beating manny!!

I dont think anyone on here is saying Cotto doesnt have a chance and if they are then they need to let go of the crack pipe.

Name me one fighter who has NEVER stepped in the ring with a has been or old fighter.

All fighters at some point in their careers get in the ring with older fighters to boost their name and credibility.

Your quick to diminish a boxers achievements especially when that fighters back was against the wall going against a fighter who critics, experts, and even fans thought he had no chance (Pac vs. DLH).

Try getting into the ring with P4P fighters and going through 8 weeks of those tough trainings.

What are you gonna say if Pac disposes of Cotto, Cotto was done anyways after the Margarito fight?
