2nd fight 8 months after his last fight
He fought in early March 2019, a full 10 rounds against Christian Hammer
Joshua wanted him to fight him again on June 1, 2019
That's less than 3 months after going 10 rounds on short notice.
We know what's up.

I think Zhang is a tough dude who could take wilder s punch better than wilder will take zhangsLast edited by hugh grant; 09-28-2023, 06:13 PM.mromano likes this.

All this flippant, girly and unwarranted criticism of Lion Hearted Champion Wilder. It's reflected poorly on the fans who do it, not on him.
All athletes are human beings and imperfect, and therein lies the inevitable opportunity to weave a pejorative fable. Which some here have seen fit to do.
Nobody fast-tracked this man to the title. He did the slow train. The cans and the sleepers and the fellow prostects in the tank towns all the way to the title. The old fashioned way.
43-2-1 with 42 Knockouts.
The Highest KO rate of any multi-title defense champion or title claimant ever.
10 successful title defenses.
16 fights against "world class" opponents (depending, I'll concede, upon you definition).
Spoiled 8 undefeated records.
Knocked out or scored MULTIPLE knockdowns over every man he ever fought.
Who else did that?
Best American heavyweight since prime Mike Tyson 34 years ago.
2nd best heavyweight of his era, 3x fought the 1st best, scored 4 knockdowns and a plausible knockout over him.
Olympic medalist with only 30 fights behind him.
3rd tallest heavyweight title holder in history.
No Wilder is not the best USA heavyweight since Mike Tyson. Brewster is better. Rahman is more accomplished. Holyfield became champion at heavyweight post Mike Tyson. That is three men to consdier.
Wilder beat only three ring magazine ranked opponents ( I think ) when he fought them. And they were past their best over 40 year old men or hyped guys who never beat a ring magazine top 10 opponent themselves!
Lucking out at heavyweight not super heavyweight and getting a bronze is what he is known for in the amateurs.
I ask you who he beat and when did he beat that impress you?
Facts please. He was exposed as limited boxing talent in some of his wins.
IMO he is a drug cheat ( who signs a contact not to talk about PED tests ) has participate in some fishy fights, and has A+ management to set things up for him.

ZZ ain’t Fury.

Originally posted by NYG View PostWilder by KO, 100%. People are overrating Zhang so much, holy ****
Originally posted by HENNY View PostWilder sucks and all, but he'd body Zhang. Wilder is an inch taller with a 5 inch reach advantage. Add to the fact that a straight right is the best punch to land on a southpaw, and Deontay is faster.
Zhang is giving up 5 inches in reach against a guy who's best weapon is a tool best suited for a southpaw style. I'm taking my chances on the faster, taller guy who will probably land first
Originally posted by STREET CLEANER View PostThey fight and Zhang gets KOed they will say that the guy was over 40.
Originally posted by The D3vil View PostUnless Wilder's lost all of his athleticism, he's not just going to stand there and let Zhang tee up on him like Joyce did.
Joyce was fxcking statue.
Now, Wilder's got a good chin, regardless of what people who DKSAB think.
Fury's a different fighter with Sugar Hill Steward than he was with Ben Davidson or his father, which is why he never hurt Wilder in their first fight that he had to get off the mat twice in.
Zhang is 40 years old and slow, too slow for an anywhere near close to a peak form of Wilder.
I don't necesarily think Zhang beats Joshua either.
Joshua's too good of an athlete for him has well.
Originally posted by NYG View PostZhang is old and slow. He doesn't beat Wilder, Usyk, or Fury. Pull his **** out of your *******s please

and when he does, everyone, including the thread starter, will say that Zhang was a bum.
Originally posted by N/A View PostYou mean Zhang who scored a draw against Jerry Forrest? His only big win is against an overhyped ring *diot in the face of Joyce.
I am not a fan of the dosser, his resume is weak, but he has more cardio than Zhang and enough power to knock him out.
Originally posted by famicommander View PostZhang has no defense or head movement. He'd get Breazeale'd against Wilder.
Originally posted by mromano View PostYou guys are over hyping Zhang by a billion miles. Slow hands and slow feet with minimal head movement would be a disaster for him vs Wilder. Wilder is no world beater by any stretch of the imagination, but Zhang beat a guy that was over rated as you can possibly be. Zhang gets starched by Rd3Last edited by War Room; 06-01-2024, 08:17 PM.eco1

lol they love discrediting the Chinaman.
Everyone picked Wilder now claim Wilder is shot. ZZ is 42 yo. He would've always beaten Wilder. Period
He's bigger, faster and hits harder than Tyson Fury. He also has a way better chin.Legends456 likes this.
