Comments Thread For: Roberto Valenzuela Jr. On Xander Zayas: I'm Going To Be The Hardest Test He Has Had To Date

Roberto Valenzuela Jr. is impressed with what Xander Zayas has done during his rise in the junior middleweight division. The hard-hitting Mexican veteran still isn't convinced that Zayas (16-0, 10 KOs) is ready for the type of pressure and power that the rugged Valenzuela (21-4, 20 KOs) will bring to the ring Friday night in their 10-round, 154-pound bout.

Can't even say you're going to beat Zayas? Sounds like a guy there for a paycheck, not a W...

That's what I came here to say after reading the thread title. "I'll be his biggest test." Oh geez, Xander must be shaking.

Added: Also, I dont think Xander looked good during his last test. So hopefully he has improved something in the meanwhile.

Everyone who read that title came here to say the same thing. To be fair, he does say a bit more in the actual article.

I guess he does say "I'm coming to get the upset. Nothing is impossible". But that's the closest he was able to bring himself to say that he thinks he's going to win... Not really confidence inspiring. "I almost beat this guy. And I dropped this other guy I lost to." Hopefully he gets enough to feed his family because his career isn't going places with that kind of attitude.

True, but maybe he'll turn out to be the quiet killer. A lot of Mexicans are low-key and humble outside the ring.
