I'm not as sure about this one. I think a lot of the narrative for the casuals has died off. If Paul can't even beat Tommy Fury, I can't see anyone thinking he's even got a chance against a champion. And if Canelo took the fight he would be a laughingstock. Even worse than Tyson Fury right now.

The big fights for me are the small ones. Not the ones that involve Canelo, Canelo, Canelo, Canelo... Because I'm a fan of the sport overall, not just following one guy who can only fight twice a year at most, sometimes once. And there are 365 days in a year, 52 weeks, 12 months. I can't be a fan just following one guy or two.

Meaningless fight and easy win for Nelo. Only reason for happening would be huge PPV.

Crawford won't even be P4P king until the fight. Inoue will be 2x undisputed in December.

Exactly, if Crawford wants a smexy fight, he should do what Tyson Fury is doing and fight Jake Paul before Merryweather Jr. gets that fight.

Edit: No one wants to see Crawford-Spence 2, Spence needs to go fishing with his kids.

T-Bud vs Problem Child, that's the big money show right there.

And then T-Bud can make an appearance at WWE and fight whichever ass hole is the biggest wrestler right now. That's how you build the brand.

It can be as long as Crawf continues winning BUT he needs to move up a weight class or 2 and win there b4 a CONelo fight even happens.

if canelo took care of charlo in good order & bud was up for the challenge i think a lot of people would be interested in that jump up and fight, canelo needs to put in an excellent performance tho & do what should be done to someone moving up 2 classes, as in give them a very hard night in the ring

For Crawford definitely. Canelo probably makes what his current rate is but if Haymon comes correct and Crawford wants to come up to 168 then it can happen.
With how inactive Crawford has been I don’t think it’s likely any time soon.

You have obv not been around many casual fans talking boxing I can tell that much based on this comment lol.

Saul vs Paul would 100% be bigger than Saul vs Bud. Its more an engagement/numbers thing than anything else tho. Fighting is something ALMOST EVERYONE will watch if you give them a reason too, but you gotta get them invested by putting ppl they know in the ring or give them some kind of reason to watch. This is why I always mention The Rock as one of the guys who would destroy the PPV numbers if he did a fight. Guy has like half a billion followers on social media. So 1% conversion on his followers breaks PPV records.

The casuals in my area don't even know who Canelo is, unfortunately. Downside to this duty station, I guess.

Please don't let Tyson Fury hear that, or that will be his next circus sideshow...

Maybe we'd get Vin Diesel v Dwayne Johnson settling their beef. And then there's the freak show of Zuck v Musk...

I certainly concede you could easily be right, especially with the right marketing.

"Are you not entertained" and all that.
