Morrel's biggest problem is he doesn't fight enough, two fight's a year just ain't cutting it.
To keep you in public's mind, you must be active enough for them to see you, and keep them talking about you.
Only nine fight's in four year's, you aren't going to set the boxing world on fire with those anemic number's.

Agreed. David isn’t nearly active enough. Probably outta have twenty fights by now. Still, I think he’s a very promising fighter. Don’t know if that’s wishful thinking, but the kid looks very good to me. I’d like to see him versus Berlanga. Somebody’s “O” has to to go.

David Morrell is a spectacular fighter when he does fight, he knocked out his last opponent in 1 round 5 month's ago.
Why in the heck hasn't had a quick return to the ring within these past 5 month's?
It just doesn't make any sense to me to wait so long between fight's, especially if you didn't even need to go 1 whole round in your last fight.
He say's he want's the big fight's, but he isn't going about his career like if that's the case.

Canelo fought Austin Trout and Erislandy Lara when he didn’t have to. He just fought Bivol a few fights back at a weight he doesn’t belong at… but instead of giving him full credit people want to actually use this against him by saying it was just “a cherrypick gone wrong.”

David Morrell was barking about David Benavidez at one point but when Benavidez called his bluff Morrell’s trainer said he wasn’t ready yet. Let’s hold everyone to the same standards.

He fought Lara and lost, Trout had the cards, like everyone that fights canelo, stacked against him. And when Morrell Jr called out benavidez, his trainer Shields wanted to have a couple of fights with his pupil, fast forward two fights and he gave the okay. I don't blame benavidez for not fighting DMJ, if he thinks he still going to win the lottery, and this fight might be bigger if it not for the fact that ginger has the division hostage, the problem that I see with ginger is that he's not fighting the real threats in his division, when was the last time he fought his real mandatory? A please leave ryder out, he ran away from Morell jr. Now he's bringing charlo, two weights lower to defend his belts. What about benavidez, two years on the waiting list. Morrell Jr is his mandatory for the WBA. What he's going to do?
