    Super middleweight lineal champs

    There are three lineal champs at super middleweight who never lost the title in the ring. One is fighting this month against Jermell Charlo. The other two are undefeated HOF's Joe Calzaghe and Andre Ward. How do you envision fights between the three going? What features of their styles and skillsets would be most important?

        Three greatest SMWs ever as well.

        Calzaghe had high output and was awkward boi. Got KD' by 90 yo Jones, 85 yo Hopkins and nobody Mitchell. Hopkins arguably beat him. He beat faded Eubank Sr. who was never super duper fighter. His best win was Kessler no doubt. I think he would lose to both Ward and Canelo.

        Ward was solid H2H. Dominated Kessler and Abraham. Clearly beat Froch. He could fight inside and outside. But, was dirty. Elbows, low blows, clinching etc.. He could beat Canelo in his dirty game but I don't think Canelo would let it. Canelo spanks his a$$ in a clean fight.

        Canelo showed arguably greatest performance ever at SMW in Callum Smith. He has low output but accurate punches with solid defense. He was phenomenal at body feints in Saunders. KO'd legit SMW Plant. Got faded in GGG 3 and Ryder but still beat the crap out of both.

        Canelo >= Ward > Calzaghe

          Calzaghe beats the all imo.

          Too much energy, can fight inside and out, underrated power and can adjust mid fight.

          Say what you will - in hindsight, but the masterclass he put on v Lacy was outrageous. The way he adjusted v Kessler... He's another level when he's at his best.

          Southpaw as well gives him a HUGE advantage.

          Ward is an awkward MF, he would give problems, but he doesn't deal with southpaws like Bhop.

          Canelo is a monster, but we know he can be outworked and out boxed. But look at the Bivol fight, Calzaghe is 10x the boxer.

            i think ward calzaghe would be a very close fight & would surely end in controversy, winner would be whoever was fighting at home

            i tend to think canelo would have style problems with both of the other two, im not sure he would have the movement or punch output to beat them, good fight tho
