Charlo is a good boxer but overrated. He does deserve credit for becoming undisputed, but belts and title opportunities in this sport are largely circumstantial. What truly matters is who you beat (and when you beat them), and 154lbs has undeniably been a weak division for a while now.
IMO he has no real shot of beating Canelo. Even if they were the same weight, this is a level he's never fought at before, far beyond the Tony Harrisons and Brian Castanos of the world.Comment

Here we go with another red balls cherry pick that thinks they're Hall of Fame fighter just because they lose in a couple of rounds.Comment

Agreed...being an undisputed champion virtually 'guarantees' him a spot in the HoF although I don't fancy his chances against Canelo but RESPECT him for having the balls to step up 2 weight classes (14lbs).Comment

Jermell's route to undisputed at 154lbs:
Tony Harrison (at the second time of asking)
Jeison Rosario
Brian Castano (also at the second time of asking)
Canelo's route to undisputed at 168lbs:
Callum Smith
Billy Joe Saunders
Caleb Plant
There's a sizeable gap in the cumulative quality of those opponents if you ask me. In fact I'd argue that any one of those three names Canelo faced would each themselves have beaten Jermell's three opponents and become undisputed at 154lbs if they were at that weight.
There are many things you can criticise Canelo for throughout his career but his run at 168lbs isn't one of them. He does need to fight Benavidez though.
