It's still more impressive than anything that Pitbull has done in his career outside of the Tank fight.

I'd compare Ortiz more to Wallin

That's boxing these days though. When guys are with different promotions, fans will make the excuse for them while ignoring the fact that even when guys are on the same stable they don't ****ing fight.
Kind of. Only "It's fine though. Frank will turn this one down too, and everyone will just make "money" or "promotion" excuses for him while he sits on his hands inactive like the rest of PBC," limits it to being PBC to blame. Top Rank aren't going to make any offers and Ortiz will fight a Top Rank fighter. That's just the business.

Sure but it's also not impressive when you consider that Herring ****** at 135 and already lost at that weight twice.

Wallin is another member of the "good losers" club.

End of the day, nobody at PBC is fighting. Thats my gripe. Shakur will find a dance partner, and Frank will just be seen in the crowds of fights, inactive for the next year while everyone talks about how much money they make.

The PBC fighter De Los Santos is fighting Stevenson instead.

I guess I don't really have a problem with prize fighters liking money. Nobody's getting their ****s ****** or buying houses with fortitude or legacy or something.

Except it’s not just the guys at the top. I used to work out with a guy who signed to PBC in 2020. he’s been in line for a title shot. He’s had 3 fights since then, and nothing on the horizon.

yeah it’s fine if you’re Errol Spence or Jermall Charlo (unless you want to watch them fight) but PBC prospects, up and comers, etc. aren’t getting their ducks ****** or buying houses with one check every 12-18 months either

Must not be too in line for a title shot then. He was mando or won an elimator or....?

It wouldn't have surprised me if Ortiz had gotten the nod over Lomachenko. I think that there could have been some A Side cooking done there.

Well, I don't want to get into too many details or else it will be obvious who it is. But he has been ranked #1 by WBC and IBF for quite some time now, (IBF since 2021) and #2 with the WBO. All four belts are with PBC, he is with PBC. WBC hasn't called one I don't think, because Mauricio seems to make it up as he goes along.

So, pretty ****ing in line lol.

No rhyme no reason why Frank Martin would take this fight. Doesn't make sense making an article about it.
