Offering the same deal to the guy that beat him is not the same as trying his best. Refusing to budge during negotiations is not trying hard to make a fight. If Canelo wanted the fight, it would have happened.

Don’t blame him for running from another beating. It would have been worse than the first.

The guy that beat you 9 rounds to 3 max you offered 30% for a rematch, ain't budge during negotiations. Could have atleast offered the dude 45% if you were serious Canelo didn't even win a round

Did Bivol find a better deal? If not, then he made a bad business decision...period!

I agree 100%. And it’s nothing wrong with how Canelo handled this as the A-Side still. But he damn sure doesnt have the right to claim he “tried his best” after the fact. Can’t have it both ways. You did what made business sense and moved on.

People get paid according to what they're worth. Canelo has gone on to make even more money than he did against Bivol, Bivol has made way less money than he did against Canelo.

Not a Canelo fan but you can't blame Canelo for this one.

The guy taking the lesser money is the one ducking.

Canelo had a rematch clause and chose not to use it. Says it all.

Canelo went on a more profitable fight with GGG but if he really wanted to get revenge a deal would had been made. Bivol can't make anywhere near the money he would had gotten paid for a rematch.

The surgery and the business of boxing will make it difficult for a rematch.
