People will absolutely remember Bivol every time Canelo's resume gets discussed. You can explain away losing to Mayweather because he's one of the greatest and Canelo was relatively early in his career. But this loss came during Canelo's prime and was a comprehensive defeat.

Bivol has said numerous times he doesn't care about the money. He's a throwback fighter. He wants the smoke, and was willing to take all the concessions to get the fight. Quiet and humble, but the skills show when he gets in the ring. He'll always have that win over Canelo on his resume and he and Canelo both know it.

Thank god you're not his manager. That's not how fights get negotiated. The rematch would make Canelo more money than his last couple of fights. A lot of people are gonna order the ppv to see canelo avenge his 2nd loss. Bivol can make the same amount of money in 2-3 fights fighting journeyman.

If they truly wanted the fight they would offer Bivol a lot more money instead of the same amount. No in their right mind would take those terms again.

He was offered the same terms as the first fight and declined so he wasn’t “willing to take all the concessions to get the fight.”

                He already did. That's fact.

And why should he take concessions in the rematch? He already dominated Canelo. For a guy who wants belts and legacy, he's got nothing more to prove or gain. Sure, he could get paid, but he's not motivated by that, and it's wild that people don't respect that, because the money fighters and their management are the ones who sink the majority of the fights that fans want.

He has been very clear that if it happens again, he wants a crack at more belts and to remove the excuse that he's the bigger guy by fighting at 168. Canelo is the guy with the L here, not Bivol. He's only the A-side from the financial standpoint. Unless Canelo wants to give Bivol a shot at the 168 belts, Canelo has nothing that Bivol wants. Bizarre that people can't understand that.
