    Thurman is passe.
i am not interesting in this match up but is the Thurman name beat now ? Seems a lot of people know him and i guess still are interesting in his fights he has some name rec and enough to maybe get him a fight? that goes into match ups like it or not and i dont but name rec plays a part. one of those write ups where i think they are wondering if the match up would be a real $$$$ draw or not.......

Crawford was offered to him 2 years ago. Thurman went on a rant on a video addressing the Bobfather. He goes something like, "...you're cheap Bob, you're cheap, 'awright?"

Who is he going to address his rant video this time? Espinoza? Haymon? I doubt it. How much should he ask for this fight? Ennis has probably the same drawing power as Crawford years ago. Asking $10 mil for an opponent who anti-Crawford fans say bombs in the box office seems crazy.

Thurman is not getting Crawford unless Crawford beats Spence again and decides to face Thurman at 154. I think that's unlikely because Spence vs Crawford could take up the remainder of 2023 and early 2024 if Spence wins the rematch. Let's say Crawford is freed up by May 2024. Canelo would be freed from Charlo (if he wins) which could open the door for a Canelo vs. Crawford showdown. That's 9 months + of inactivity for the 34 year old from Clearwater, FL. The last thing Thurman needs is inactivity. He's not getting any younger and higher activity has proven to be beneficial for older fighters.

Which leads me to think that Ennis would be a much more feasible fight for Thurman. But, if it happens, will Thurman prevail? I'm a fan of his but not a fan of his inactivity. He's getting older and at this stage of his career, it looks like he wants to maximize his earnings. Ennis on the other hand is a young, hungry lion who hasn't tasted a full world title yet. Thurman has the goods to still compete in my opinion, but if that fight enters deep waters, I question if Thurman has what it takes to overcome adversity at this stage of his career.

Why would Bud want to fight Thurman? He's able to pick much bigger fights now , and 'Boots' would hammer him.

Spence vs Thurman would probably be a bigger draw than Spence vs Crawford rematch.

It's not too late to cancel the rematch and go for Thurman vs Spence. Floyd/Haymon/PBC probably prefer this fight over the rematch.

But it's all up to Spence.

Keith "Once Upon a Time" Thurman needs to retire already.

Also, Ennis' defense is far from "impregnable". Themistode is the worst writer in sports.

                  Hmm.

Keef: I’ll at least entertain a fight with Boots.

Crawford: we’re looking at either a lightweight, a middleweight or super middleweight next, Boots isn’t worth it yet

I remember when NSB got on welterweights for “not mentioning Boots “ for a potential fight.

Keef does it, he gets criticized. Legit

He should fight Ennis. Crawford should collect belts at the higher weights.

Boots is on the wrong side of the street. Thurman waiting for an easy vacant belt.
