Calling it Now: Frank Martin vs Tank Davis in December

I seriously doubt Martin's team would duck this blatantly. They could've claimed injury or even a "failed" drug test. But, they must've been offered a better deal to fight Tank. Plus, Martin has been calling for the Tank fight since they sparred a few years back. If he doesn't fight Tank, this is a DUCK.

It makes more sense then that trash ass Pitbull rematch.

And they could make Pitbull vs someone with a name as the comain to lead into fighting Tank next time around as for me & I think most fans Pitbull hasn't even earned a rematch yet. Let him fight someone real to earn a rematch cuz the first fight wasn't THAT close to me & Tank had an injury. A 100% Tank is gonna win even easier.

But yea if there wasn't a $$$ issue/rematch details issue/options issue in this Shakur fight my assumption would be they are making a fight with Tank for more money.

I don't think Frank Martin sells more than Pitbull Cruz though.

Tank-Martin, Cruz-de los Santos co-main (winner to fight Tank next).

Would involve EDLH turning down a shot at the WBC title as he's next up; after that it's Yoshino (which would stiff Arum heavily) and then Jamaine Ortiz.

Why would Tank fight Martin ?
          Are you people crazy
Way to risky and no compensation

That doesn't make sense for Tank though lol. Hell likely make the same or more money versus Pitbull.

I think fans of Martin are trying to rationalize a basic smart career move by Frank and his team. It's a bad look but I actually understand it.

If this happens then fine but it's still a duck of Shakur after agreeing to the fight. Hopefully then Pitbull grows a pair and fights Shakur for the WBC after he already turned it down before.

The smart thing to do would have been just to say no to the WBC and say they are chasing a Tank fight instead of agreeing to the terms then running away when the contract came over. Bad look IMO

I think it’s a good fight but can’t see it happening. The risk vs reward doesn’t make sense for Tank. Martin is a talented fighter but he isn’t a name, isn’t a draw and doesn’t even have a belt. What does he bring to the table?

Martin is overrated. Just wait and see how he starts losing as soon as the bar is raised.
