Often times we hear fighters throw out excuses for losing a fight, some are reasonable but some are just flat out b.s. excuses.
What do you guys consider legit excuses for losing a fight?
1)For me, if a fighter were to sustain an injury during a fight(yes, it's boxing, but, if you're not performing at your best against another prizefighter, then you're definitely at a handicap)
2)Another one for me, is if the ref was doing a ****ty job, that can affect how a fight is gonna go.
3)****ty judging, ie Van Hoye in the Malignaggi fight, also, one of the judges for the PAC - Juanita I(yes, it was a close fight, but, the fact of the matter is, a judge literally screwed up and later publicly admitted he screwed up the scoring, in what would've been a victory for PAC)

Now, what I consider illegitimate excuses for losing a fight, being weight-drained, man, I think most fighters, if not all of 'em are man enough to know what is best for 'em to be able to perform at a high level. Actually, this excuse is mostly used by fans, I don't really hear the fighter themselves use this as an excuse. And if being weight-drained is used as an excuse, give me a reason as to why one would think that draining themselves(literally starving themselves for days) would actually serve them well at the highest level of prizefighting?
The I should've, could've, would've done this, excuse. The reality of it is, you didn't!! The fighter generally prepares himself 2-3 months of intense training prior to the date of the fight. That is alot of time to correct your mistakes and improve on your skills to give yourself the best chance at victory!! Better luck next time, buddy!
