.. Berlanga is talking out of his arse LOL..
LOL yea I could see this being the reality of the situation.

Eddie was pushing that Canelo stuff hard in public interviews, who knows how hard he was selling it to Berlanga & his team. If I'm Team Berlanga I'm holding out for Canelo too. Team Berlanga knows what they got & they know this guy is a threat to catch an L to random mfers so they are gonna wanna get paid Canelo money for Canelo or near Canelo money for a non-Canelo guy to take that L thats coming his way when he steps up.

If this isn't made, I'd like to see one of them fight John Ryder.

It will be an all action fight from start to finish, and if he's able to defeat Munguia, then all kinds of doors will be open to him.
He has to understand that Munguia has fought twice as many fight's then he has, and that Munguia is a former world champion, which he himself is not.
So you shouldn't get parity when it comes to the purse split, just make the fight happen prove your worth, and then you can debate purse split's in the future.
I agree, but I don't understand why his payday should be such a mystery? That's on Eddie Hearn! I simply believe Oscar & Eddie are at war, and that's the real issue! The only reason they've been talking is because DAZN executives are pushing for it to happen! They don't want to see Munguia vs. Charlo, or Munguia vs. Benavidez, especially after losing both Canelo & Andrade to PBC, and Ryan Garcia threatening to make that move too! Plus GGG is M.I.A.! They were supposed to be DOMINATING the 168lb. division, now that's all up in smoke! DAZN needs this fight bad!

So you wanna wait to 2025 for canelo. Who may or may not even be at 168 by then?

            Makes zero sense

If you're the one who's been mentioning Mungia's name every chance you get
to the point of appearing begging for the fight, then you make sure you conduct yourself
in an appropriate manner. It looks to me like you're ready to play hardball.

You're lucky you won't be negotiating with a d!ck like Ellerbe.
You beg for the fight, Ellerbe would treat you like one, a beggar.
He'll make sure he'll take advantage of your desperation for the fight,
dictate everything, including weight issues. Everything.

Berlanga will be competitive for four rounds and then will start gassing out and ran over. He doesn't have the skills and the ones that he has learned he is thinking instead of being fluid and instinctive.

These new age boxers fight one or two tines in a year, if that much. They sit around waiting to fight certain ppl, instead of fighting whoever is willing to fight them and stay active. U can call that the business side of boxing, but for a boxer's skills to develop, its a very bad thing. When was the last time Berlanga fought?

I agree with everyone here who says Berlanga is looking to get paid very well to fight Munguia because he will lose but on another note, does anyone remember when Snoop was his mascot/hype man? That didn't last long. Once Snoop, who knows little to nothing about boxing, realized he wasn't the modern day Puerto Rican Tyson, he disappeared pretty quickly!
