A “disheartened Dubois.” Was this ghost written by Fish Eyes?

Assume the punch was clean. The corrupt WBA is only thinking about collecting sanction fees in the Saudi HW tournament. Protest denied!

This is ridiculous. Dubois can quit against any other fighter just as well. Such a diva, demanding he gets to quit against Usyk for the second time.

There's levels to this game. Dubois should consider quitting against Sam Sexton for the Commonwealth belt or perhaps he can quit against Agit Kabayel for the EBU title. Right now it's too early to talk about quitting against the unified champion. Who knows though, maybe one day Triple Knee gets to fulfil his dream and quit in a fight for the Undisputed Championship and Lineal titles as well. But he needs to earn his stripes before he's ready.

The gifs clearly show here part of the punch hitting below the top of the hips

I don’t understand why people can’t see that, Therefore it was a low blow

the top of the hips means exact that, find your hips and then the highest point which is roughly your belly button, just touch your pointy bone on the hips, anything below is low

the gifs clearly show he hit him middle or on the very bottom end of the hip which went into partially the groin area

but anything below the top of the hips is low as you will naturally make contact with the groin area

it’s not difficult to understand, which is why everyone says below the belly button is low

the problem is consistency, some refs let people get away with it

but without a doubt you can see from the images the punch hits below the top of the hips which in turn means below the belly button

From actual experts it's much more close for debate. Which even though I favour the words of breadman Edwards. Russ anber claims touching the shorts at all is low.

Enough to over turn is a no.

Rematch id say go for it. The ref didn't like usyk carry on when he asked after 2 minutes and made him take the full 5.

That shows the ref was looking out for one boxer over the other. I doubt he's have done the same for Dubois. Rematch I'm positive uysk wins.

But I feel a rematch or a more favourable ranking for Dubois could come out of it.

Remember lots of experts did feel it was legal.

Then again lots of experts said illegal.
The ref making Usyk wait another 2 minutes after he said he was ok helped Dubois more than Usyk. without that 5 minute break, Dubois would have been stopped earlier, imo.

Do the rules say that no part of the glove can be below the hips?

Think about how big an area would be excluded if that was applied precisely. Practically any punch delivered below the ribs would have part of the glove below the imaginary line.

This is the problem with trying to precisely codify everything. We lose common sense. I don't need a rulebook to see that punch was to the stomach.

The result won't get overturned. It's the ref's call on the night, in the moment.

But Fish Eyes knows what he's doing. Aim for the impossible overturning and see what drops out. Might be a rematch (unlikely), or might just put him back in line for a regular title and another crack at the championship belt.

There must be a way to overturn a poor referee's/judge's decision. It' absurd if not. Especially in cases like this one where the referee didn't comply with the rule to establish the waistline and then made a highly questionable decision.

WBA must declare it NC, but wait for another mandatory defense/rematch after the other belts' turn pass.

You can't see the belly button though, my pointer shows where it most likely is, and the punch lands within a margin of error + or - of 3/16".

Translation: it's right on the money.

The sanctioning bodies are so corrupt they make criminal Trump with his massive criminal history look like a saint.

Expecting the WBA to rule the fight a NC or order a rematch is as likely as Al Haymon finally admitting that he not his puppet Tom Brown is the real PBC promoter.
