You seem to always make it a big deal about Fulton and now Martin crossing the street. Reality is either Fulton and Martin had no good alternative fights at PBC, thus it was a no brainer for Fulton and now Martin to accept better offers outside of PBC. Fulton hated the rematch with Figueroa, who was Fulton's only option at PBC.

Tank don't want Martin for his next fight. And as already mentioned by others, Delos Santos is his only real choice, which is a high risk, low reward fight. Would you rather let them rot at PBC? Or just be happy for them they got the lucrative fights most fighters dream of?
Because IT IS A BIG DEAL! Where did you read that Fulton "hated" a rematch with Brandon Figueroa? Please post that, although i'm sure you're pulling things out of your azz right now! Did Haney get them belts while at MatchRoom? Tank wants Pitbull because Pitbull put azzes in seats! Frank does not, and neither does Haney! You should know this by now! Frank accepted the fight and made the deal! Cruz and Zepeda SWERVED! That's a BIG DEAL TOO! All that talk about PBC protecting their fighters is dead! Ruiz, Wilder, Sanchez, Porter, Charles Martin, Fulton, and now Frank Martin! That's a BIG DEAL in today's time! You keep looking for what's NOT happening, and not what IS happening! Well you are going to be very sad, because Tank vs. KingRy happened! Fulton vs. Inoue happened! Spence vs. Crawford happened! Canelo vs. Charlo is coming! Benavidez vs. Andrade is coming! Stevenson vs. Martin is coming! Spence vs. Crawford II is coming! Everywhere you turn PBC will be in the building! Sorry dude! Thank You Al Haymon!

This guy is full of denials. His first sentence is where it says Fulton hated the rematch with Figueroa. Where is the offer from PBC then about such rematch? Where? Useless talking with this denier. He's even denying the Hearn/Haney story, which Devin himself related in a kumbaya article, and was so thankful of the UK promoter.

Would be a big deal if Fulton had better options offered from PBC than the Inoue fight. Would be a big deal if Martin had better options from PBC than the Shakur fight.

PBC has a large stable full of waiting souls, waiting for their breaks. But according to PBC fans you have to thank Haymon, not other promoters that are offering them a way out of their misery. They're okay with Martin taking Harutyunyan level fights just to maintain his zero. Or they'd rather let them rot as long as they're with uncle Haymon.

Well, it's easy to see why Martin picked Shakur in a heartbeat. I don't think he wants another meaningless Harutyunyan level that he almost lost to, and looked really bad against, and with very little compensation. Same reason why Fulton picked Inoue.

Stephen Fulton vs Brandon Figueroa rematch headlines February 25th Showtime tripleheader
The winner will be upgraded to full champion should Rey Vargas elect to campaign at 130 pounds going forward
              By Patrick L. Stumberg Jan 11, 2023, 12:45pm EST

15 months after putting on one of 2021’s Fights of the Year, Stephen Fulton and Brandon Figueroa will do battle once again.

Dan Rafael reports that the pair will rematch atop a Feb. 25 Showtime tripleheader at The Armory in Minneapolis, with the WBC interim featherweight title on the line.

This is a rare justifiable interim belt, as champion Rey Vargas is set to challenge O’Shaquie Foster for the sanctioning body’s super featherweight belt. If he emerges victorious, he’ll have to choose which belt to keep; if it’s the 126-pound title, he’ll have to fight either Fulton (21-0, 8 KO) or Figueroa (23-1-1, 18 KO). If not, the interim belt will become the real deal.

Now where's your post about Fulton "hating" the rematch with Figueroa???

Did Zepeda have better options than fighting Gesta? Was Giovanni Cabrera a better option for Pitbull Cruz, than Shakur Stevenson? Are we getting Bivol vs. Beterbiev in '23? Stop acting like these kind of fights happen all the time! Yes, Stevenson vs. Martin is a BIG DEAL!

The fight happening is a huge deal. Stop always making it about Haymon allowing Martin to cross the street that is the huge deal. What is Martin supposed to do, sulk in the corner and say no to the fight? This tribalism thing is silly. Sports is supposed to bring people together, not perfect but it keeps people from going to the war zones. Shakur vs Martin is one of those uniting moments, yet... Reality is, one promoter can't possibly produce every card and make hundreds of fighters active. For the last 2 weekends there weren't any PBC cards. Such voids were filled by other promoters. Is this not evidence enough that one promoter/network alone can't do it all? Aren't you supposed to be happy for Frank? Why is it always about your uncle Al all the time?

Like they always say, it takes two to tango. When only one fighter wants it, fight is far from happening. But when both fighters want the fight and promoters are throwing roadblocks in it, that's entirely different story. Zepeda or his team obviously didn't want the fight. Pitbull Cruz and his dad didn't want the fight. What can you do in these cases? This is apples and bananas.

Zepeda and Cruz ducked Stevenson, if that is what you want to hear. There's nothing complicated about it. I won't even dig deep into the promotional angle of it. They avoided Stevenson. End of story.

Martin and Stevenson both want the fight. What is Haymon got to do with these guys being presented with lifetime opportunities? Inoue was presented to Fulton. What is Haymon got to do with the fight happening? In both cases both fighters decided for themselves. Haymon is not their employer.

I am VERY happy for Martin, but again, you want to downplay AL Haymon giving his blessing, when you know that MOST promoters would not let their guy go on SHO! Be honest, would Arum have let Shakur fight Martin on SHO? Would Arum have let Inoue fight Fulton on SHO? Why do you think we have not gotten Bivol vs. Beterbiev? So when we do get platforms working together, I want to give praise due! What's wrong with that?
