It is idoneous of me to pontificate on this potential matchup. Better fight than Ben/Plant. Andrade being dismissed and overlooked. This would be his career defining fight. He’s played it safe throughout but his skills can’t be denied. Andrade can fight. It’s now or never. I for one, hope the fight gets made. Ben would be the clear favorite but not out of the question Andrade pulls the upset. Now can someone tell the author he’s writing a column for boxing fans and not exactly Rhodes Scholars. Kind of like Howard Cosell telling Ali “you’re being loquacious”.

played it safe ? he has no killer instinct he gets a shot in once in a while and it scares him so he goes back run and skip mode. A non aggressive boring fighter a idiot on the Mic and besides that this fight will never happen Andi talking himself up again so someone might pay attention to him bc no wants to pay to see one of his fights.

I cannot think of a single scenario where Andrade defeats Benavidez. He may last the distance. However, he can run but he can't hide.

Andrade has fought and defeated a certain level of opponent (Williams, Sulecki, Culcay, Martorysian, etc) but he's never fought that tier above. After 32 fights and so many years, you have to look at the common denominator: Andrade himself.

I'd love to see him in against a fighter like Benavidez. I hope it happens. I don't think it will.

He’s preserved cause he’s never been in there with a real threat. He’s OLD. I doubt he really wants to get in there with Benividas but he has no other options. He of course avoids Morell.

Shishkin, Berlanga, Munguia, Bazinyan, Ryder, Derevchenko, Andrade beats all of them. He might even beat all the rest of them other than Morrell. It's just that I dont really know what he's bringing anymore. I always loved this guys talent but it's just a sad career. I dont care what the cause, we might have been robbed of watching a great. He's 35 now.

A good clash of styles. I’m a Benavidez fan, but I’d like to see him deal with the likes of Boo-boo. They both have yet to make their stamp on the next level. Winner gets the spoils.

I don’t know that boo boo can get the upset. I think his comp level has been detrimental to his career because he hasn’t shown improvements since he only fights beatable fighters.

Benavidez is a different type of beast all together and Plan couldn’t stay on his bike long.

Andrade should get punished but you never know. He is a talented fighter.

To be fair, I think his past mishaps were because of management. Hopefully now that he’s with PBC, everything has been cleared up.
