Eubank was knocked out - basically on his feet. Did that warrant a rematch?

The bottom line is this.
If you felt that Liam Smith would knock out Eubank simply because of what you saw in the first fight - and you gave Eubank NO chance to win the rematch - you got proven wrong.
SO...
What you should do is stop that faulty logic and recognize that anything can happen when there's a rematch. Especially if the losing fighter wasn't 100% in the first fight.
What you should do is simply say, "I believe Crawford will win the rematch, but I recognize that Spence wasn't all there, so he might be able do better at 154".
That's how fans preview fights.

Yep. Its a sign of the times that business is put ahead of the sport tho. At this level of the game its rare the business isn't put above the sport. And a rematch of a one sided fight between big names who did $80M between PPV buys & live gate is gonna do more business than either vs Boots or anyone else available I'd imagine so it makes sense towards all parties EXCEPT most fans lol.Comment

That's not triangle theory. That's simply new history. A dominant 1st fight doesn't mean a rematch is pointless.
Just in case you didn't know, triangle theory is when you assume the result of a matchup based on common or other opponents.
I.E. Thurman beat Porter and Garcia but loss to Pacquiao so Pacquiao will beat Porter and Garcia. History teaches these predictions are flawed.Comment
