Dec-Jan latest get it over with. I think by then Jermell will have vacated more belts or stripped and they will try to get one for the Bud Spence rematch
It's hard to get excited due to how one sided the fight was - I'd honestly rather see both men take on different opponents. However, I understand why the rematch is happening and I'll watch it.
Gotta be at 154 for there to be any interest in this. I'm sure a lot of fans still won't want to see it regardless. I'm still interested, even if just to see Bud dominant in the ring again. Fact is we don't have any say in the fight taking place and neither does Bud since he's contractually obligated to take it. So, at least we don't have to spend any more time trying to figure out what fight is next for Crawford. Of course, come September 30th, we'll know a little more what the future could hold.
Why would Crawford agree to a 154 weight unless he has trouble making the weight himself? Why fix what ain’t broke? Make Spence sweat the weight down and struggle to make the 147 mark. Maybe Spence doesn’t agree to the 147 weight and declines the rematch. I’m not sure if he can do that but if he did, that would free up Bud to look for another big fight.
Hmm so for this to be competitive on any level it should be at 154 but since when does the challenger have concessions made for him especially after that performance? Would be up to Crawford to decide weight but honestly at 147 there is no point. I hope it’s at 154.
