I'm guessing Spence intentionally delayed the decision for a month to prevent Bud from signing into another fight.

Why would they do that? The man is 33 and he has a rematch clause and can get a huge bag. If he was 26 then I’d say build yourself up again. But the man is old and there’s not many big paydays out there.

I can't go that far without seeing his medical records, remember Cotto vs Margarito and then 16mo later Cotto vs Pacquiao, he went on to become the lineal 160 champ. If the car wreck really did permanently affect Spence then it probably isn't a good idea to keep fighting but there's no way to know that for sure
