Again, why would somebody, who is a boxing fan, not want to see this fight?

That literally never happens ever just for fun. The best only fight the best for something of value, either mandatories, belts, money, or eliminators. When did any fighter fight a killer just for fun?
benavidez has been the clear choice for almost three years and canelo has crap on it. Ppv? None of them are a draw, hardcore fans like us are the ones that know who they are, that bring me to the question, beside canelo who do you think could give Morrell Jr or benavidez for that matter, the best fight? Because as a fan for over 60 years I have seen some really good fights, and always happens when the best fight the best. I'm not a promoter nor a manager, but when you put a good show people buys them and you get a bunch of sponsors. I get it, is not going to be canelo's money, but I don't see him getting that check anyway, that fight could propel the winner as the new boxing superstar, which means more money every time you fight.

Not a fan of course, they're playing managers and agree with the corrupted alphabet soups .

It's not what fans say in this forum why fights happen. You can scream all day like this little TS who wants his candies ASAP, it's not going to matter. Fans have no influence on what fights are made. Don't know why you folks keep arguing what is said and what is not. Since when did fans acquire power in what fights are made and not?

Everyone was raring to see it last year, but Morrell said he ain't ready yet and had to take one practice fight. Which was disappointing because he's been the one pressing for the fight. He took one practice fight and people thought it's gonna happen next, but then he took another practice fight. Oh well... why would I blame Benavie for feeling dictated by this childish kid?

You know it wasn't Morrell Jr who wanted to take a practice fight, it was his trainer that wanted to know his pupil better, which is fair, he took two fights more, three total, how many benavidez has fought? One against plant, benavidez is not feeling dictated, he just doesn't want to lose his status, that's what it is. Like I said in others posts, canelo should have fight him already but he hasn't, so now what? Are he going to keep begging for a fight, or asking for the munguias of the world, that are not in his own division, or he can move up to lhw and fight bivol. What's he going to do? Silence on andrades fight, no Morrell Jr, who? And you know what, ginger is keeping the division hostage. Thank the corruption for that.

I'm expecting Benavidez to fight either Danny Jacobs, John Ryder or Sergiy Derevyanchenko next.

They need a name, but Andrade is pretty risky.

Everyone is trying to protect their spot in the Canelo lottery.

Don't know why certain fighters let their trainers dictate their careers. Trainers are a dime a dozen in this sport.
Losing is part of it. It will let you gain experience, correct mistakes like in any other profession, hone weaknesses.
If you're scared of losing, you might as well find another career or job.

What Morrell got is innate, not something any trainer can teach. Lara left Shields and stated recently that he
made improvements in his inside game with his new trainer.
Sensible post. You don't want a nervous guy for a trainer. You don't let him dictate which fight you take and not.

I could have imagined Jermall Charlo asking Shields if he's ready for fighter A, then B, C, D, E, etc. Shield's response: cricket. Haha... no wonder Charlo don't want to be in the ring anymore. He lost all confidence he once had.

Shakur Stevenson actually said he deserves a 50/50 split against the undisputed champion I a weight class that Shakur hasn't done **** in who is also a bigger draw than him and people on here actually agreed like wtf
Let's stay on topic here. Your op criticized Benavidez for "ducking" Morrell. Benavidez is a two-time champion, who only beat himself with poor lifestyle choices. He wants Canelo and has been his WBC mandatory challenger for over 2 years. Morrell is a green up-and-comer, with a WBA "world" belt. They were talking about fighting each other in October, but now Benavidez is reportedly going to face Andrade. We know Andrade has been calling out Canelo for a while now, as has Benavidez, but I don't see where you've accused Alvarez of ducking them. Everyone wants to get ahead in this game, so it's understandable that a fighter is reaching for the stars. Since Alvarez won't face either Andrade or Benavidez, it makes since for them to fight each other. Morrell will have to earn his shot like everybody else. Looking stellar in 9 fights against politically high ranked opponents, does not justify his challenge to the mandatory challenger of the undisputed title holder.
