Don't feel bad; as crappy as this fight is, I'd be going, too, if I still lived in Rochester lol...

yeah I was gonna say, no way thats rahmans record with all KO's. I'd just like to see Mercer stay in MMA and keep KOing their top HW's for as long as he can

All three of them should retire. They were great in their day, but day was long, long ago.

I read several reasons the Rahman/meehan fight never happened.it was meehan who wanted 500000(the same as tua & cameron made),Rahman said he'd fight for 100000 knowing meehan was #3 ranked & he destroyed him a few years back.it was meehan or his promoter who sound like they backed out.not sure if the storey I read was accurate but a win for either meehan or Rahman was to set up a eliminator vs tua/cameron winner(which we all knew would be tua)leading to a WBA title fight in 2010.the meehan/Rahman winner vs tua would have happened in early 2010 or even late December I read.too bad!Rahman I hear is 230 k in great shape training with his son.

                Here's Mercer's stats:

                http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...1620&cat=boxer

Wlad was the first to knock him down with a punch in the first round, and later in the 6th became the first to stop him. Mercer was still very good at age 41. He takes very good care of himself, eating right and avoiding drugs and alcohol.

He defeated Hersisia last year, which is amazing at age 47. I'm hoping he'll defeat Rahman next month.
That said, Mercer wasn`t a youngster when he fought Lewis (at 35 or 36), and many believed he won that fight (but of course LL wasn`t in his prime at the time of the fight yet)....

Damn, Mercer knocked Sylvia out with a first punch... He has a great punching technique!!!

Ray is cool guy. I got his autograph... But beside that fact I'd like to see this fight. Ray can still rumble just ask Tim Sylvia lmao

Rahman vs Mercer is a fight that I personally don't think anybody would like to watch.
