Not deducting a point, doesn't show he got it wrong. He doesn't have to deduct a point. You only deduct a point if it's a repeated infringement and you have given the fighter prior warnings. When do you ever see a point deduction on a first infringement? You don't. Because accidents happen. Because wether it was low or not, nobody is accusing Dubois of doing it deliberately. So in the referees mind, it's a legitimate low blow, but no need to penalize Dubois for an accidental first offence.

Yep, and he's good at that, but if he's not sure how to proceed, he can just ask Haymon. He enjoys a special relationship with the WBA.

You must of heard of the term bellow the belt ? The blow was clearly on it , which makes it legal , the referee got it wrong clearly wrong . There has been many times a referee has taken a point for a blatant low blow there and then, granted it is normally for more than one but point being he then started rushing Usyk before his five minutes recuperation time had ended which didn’t go hand in hand of how Uysk
folded like a deck of cards in apparent agony… very strange!

Of course I've heard that term. But I didn't comment on whether the blow was low or not. I'm simply saying that if the ref believes it low, but accidental then he doesn't have to, and usually won't deduct a point. You said yourself " granted it is normally for more than one" and that's exactly the point I'm making. You kind of backed me up there. Nobody is saying it was deliberate. And it was a first infringement on an accidental basis. Therefore the ref doesn't have to, and imo need to, deduct a point. So saying he didn't deduct a point proves the ref new he was wrong, is inaccurate.

they are going to milk this for all its worth so people dont talk about dubois quitting, as jonny nelson said, once a quitter always a quitter... dubois had plenty of time to land a big shot and instead he decided to pay his respects to george floyd instead of fighting

The way usyk reacted at first and how he was shaking on the floor I thought Dubois has ruptured his balls I thought he's gonna have to call it a day here and go hospital but then looking back at the replay when they did finally show it I thought it was borderline and then that's on ref then to make a call because some refs would have called it a knockdown

If any good comes out of this; Then it's that Usyk's weakness has been exposed. He is very tender to the body and doesn't like to get hit there. So from here on out; Expect the balance of his opponents to target his body relentlessly.

Do you realize how ****** you sound. Literally anyone who has been in the ring knows that was a low blow. Like it’s not even debatable. YDKSAB
