go watch the video, you dont see his belly button BEFORE the punch is thrown. OP intentionally found a rare moment of the fight when his belly button was even visible.

and you dont KSAB if you say the shorts never ride up, boxers are constantly adjusting them.

Here's the video time marked at 20:37...also check out 18:48 where Usyk takes a deep beath and his navel goes from being covered to exposed. Anything at all just below the beltline would have been low because Usyk's belt was NOT lifted high like a lot of fighters wear it, and the ref knew that.

      Here's the punch...

He hit him below the navel. The ref has a clear view of it and waves it off immediately.
The punch by the rules was low. Furthermore Dubois who was low a few times in the fight before this foul blow, landed it in an uppercutting fashion. Film doesn't lie.

Don’t wanna say this but the punch looked legal to me
The ref saw what he saw and it did happen quite quick , needed to make a decision at that moment
If it wasn’t low I will give props to Usyk cause he immediately went down and that is hard to fake
By his reaction I’d say low blow
From what I saw , I’d have no low blow
I’ve seen many worse calls than this
What everyone should be focusing on is the way Pabon reacted afterwards
In my opinion that should be questioned and investigated

Credit to Dubois for finding that opening and landing a knockout body blow. Too bad it was so close to the belt-line that it looked borderline illegal. Usyk got caught with his pants down (well, his actual trunks were high) and was lucky it was so close to the belt-line.

Usyk outboxed DDD almost the whole fight, but that body shot was legit good work by DDD. He pretty much won that fight in Deontay Wilder fashion - just need one monster shot.

It was borderline and I can understand the discussions because boxers messing around with the height of their beltline has been a thing for a very long time. But it is what it is, you can't hit below that spot and Dubois unfortunately did. I would say his fist landed half legal, half illegal. Which is why that call was made and also why some people think it was clean.

Usyk was the better fighter by a long way but that was a legal blow for me higher than Crawford vs Khan and Ward vs Kov both declared as victory
Usyk's navel was easily visible as he got up from his corner and moved around the ring. It wasn't always visible, but it was clearly at the very top of the beltline, making any punches on the belt low.

I don't remember Bud'a low blow of Khan, but it doesn't even matter. Two bad calls in previous fights does not mean this should have been called low.

He didn’t land below the naval. Stop lying to the masses.

If you hit nothing but trunks it's a low blow. If it would have hit part of usyks body then we can call it borderline.

You have all the footage though yourself check when he is recovering and adjusting his shorts about 20 times after the air got ****** out of him and not only that you can clearly with your own eyes see the difference in height of them between the shot and the first image

EDIT- yea navel not visible here and is in the first image and seems to me although borderline it was legal since the hit directly there
He’s bending in that photo. His naval is visible whenever he’s standing straight.
