Tim Tszyu will defend the WBO super welterweight world title in Australia on Sunday, October 15, No Limit Boxing confirmed today. Tszyu, 28, will defend the WBO super-welterweight world title for the first time following the organization's decision to elevate him to full champion status as soon as Jermell Charlo is announced in the ring for his highly anticipated fight with Canelo Alvarez on September 30.

Nice fight! Love Tim is taking the next best available fight since he can't get Charlo right now.

Larry Gomez with 8 fights beat Mendoza, and its in Australia, don't like Medozas chances at all.

Good fight and good to unify those belts quickly so there are fewer steps to reunification.

Gotta give Tszyu credit for the way he's going about his business. He's hungry, confident, and keeping active. I wish he were fighting Crawford, but he knows he needs to take care of his own career and not wait around for fights that might never happen, as too many fighters are doing these days (including my boy Thurman).

I forgot to give props to Mendoza as well. He talks about wanting the smoke and walks the talk. WAR!

Tim's the man who's gonna rule that division after Canelo sends Charlo into retirement

Decent fight. Seems like a big payday for mendoza too so that's good for him

Also let's see if mendoza gets all this crazy hype "for daring to be great" for going to a different country for a big payday like foolton
