Not trying to side with Hearn but I don't think he said anything out of pocket that the normal 'fight fan' on this forum would say. Jake vs Diaz was a shyt show lol - everything Hearn said about their skill level is 100% the truth.

Love him or hate him Eddie Hearn knows how to stay in the spotlight and that helps him actually promote fights. Which is in a literal sense his job. I would like to see Nasty Nate choke him out though LMAO

I actually prefer Hearn to Sean Gibbons. That guy is scum. But otherwise, yeah, you're spot on.

Nate is tough as they come but a British level super middleweight/light heavy would smash his face in under boxing rules.. he can't even turn his punches over but hearn has always gotta stick his two pence in

Hearn is a promoter. He promotes himself and his fighters. The reason why his quotes are written up as articles on here is because it entertains or provokes readers. The reason he's continually interviewed is because he is a good interview - he will reliably say something controversial or topical. Imagine if when asked about the Paul/Diaz fight he responded by saying "No comment, that's none of my business". How many more times would he be asked on their shows?

Arum used to be this way but now he is in his dotage his answers are more circumspect and more like soundbites.

If every promoter was reclusive like Al Haymon then boxing would be very different and so would boxing websites.
