Glad to see Bud has seen the light...FINALLY!!! He should've started asking questions when Mikey and Manny "Crossed The Street!" The light shoulf have definitely came on, when Arum PUBLICLY admitted that the killed the Pacquiao fight with him! That would have been a career-changing fight for Crawford!
Shakur! Shu-Shu! Take notes! GET UP OUTTA THERE!!!Last edited by Bronx2245; 08-21-2023, 05:38 AM.

When Top Rank took a chance on Crawford 12 years ago, he was virtually unknown. But the Top Rank brain trust saw enough potential in Crawford to invest significant capital and media assets to build him into an attraction. Millions of dollars and man hours were devoted to building Crawford into a star; but Crawford barely cooperated outside the ring — a more dim personality would be difficult to find. It’s truly rich of Crawford to accuse Top Rank of taking advantage of him, and it’s even more preposterous to attack Arum personally. This isn’t a case of Crawford suddenly “getting smarter about business;” it’s much more akin to Crawford biting the hand that discovered, fed, and promoted him. For Arum and Top Rank, losing Crawford won’t cause the loss of a minute’s sleep.

Crawford is looking like an ingrate talking about TR that way. Arum made a huge investment on him thinking Bob would recoup his loses eventually. He never did. Arum essentially became an inveterate gambler on him. A gambler loses, then spends more with the hope of recouping loses and winning some more. The damage gets bigger and bigger.
Crawford was probably the first fighter who got paid $1.x million per fight fighting a long line of cab drivers. Guys like Thurman, in comparison, and others made their first $1 mil when they stepped up. The Khan fight was meant to be a huge fight. It was a disaster.

Best win of his career? Caleb Plant I’d say. But continues to avoid the fighter that walked through Plant, David Benavidez.
Fighter of this era? Yeah you’re smoking some good stuff.

And at this point if he does end up “aligning” himself with PBC and Haymon it most likely will be until the end of his career. But that’s not saying a lot. It’s not an issue. I just happen to have a natural opposition to hegemony’s. And with the years of delay, excuses and media smear campaigns that have been associated with this fight simply because Crawford WAS NOT aligned with Al Haymon and PBC I don’t want to hear anything about PBC taking any credit for anything about Terence “Other side of the street” Crawford; especially not from a website that participated in the smear campaign like boxingscene.com did. FOH!
