Only way Boots getting his shot is if Espinoza gives Crawford a large amount of money for it. I'd rather see Crawford fight Boots than this Canelo nonsense.Smash

I'm not sold on fighting Charlo simply because of beef because Charlo won't be the same after fighting Canelo.
That's the definition of cherry picking, but NSB excuses that and all of sudden - ONLY because it's Crawford - there's no appetite for him to fight either mandatory at his CURRENT weight class, prime and fresh, ready for a fight.
If Charlo had taken one mandatory and NOT fought Canelo, THEN I'd be fine with him fighting Crawford for 154 belts because both Charlo and Crawford would be fresh and it'd be the same Undisputed vs. Undisputed sales pitch.
But not after fighting the top guy in boxing who has a track record of stoppages of guys under 168. F no.
Instead they're justifying the very same thing they constantly criticize Canelo for doing.Last edited by Combat Talk Radio; 08-19-2023, 08:48 AM.

Boots doesn’t bring any money to the table. And Crawford doesn’t want to make the weight cut to 147 anymore.

Boots did fight Villa and...well, Boots did fight Villa
Crawford is 35, his priority is to sock that money away for a hopefully long happy retirement. I don't think Boots is anything like the most lucrative fight unless he gets a deep pockets backer.

If Jermell decides not to fight Crawford after his bout with Canelo, I won't blame him for it. The damage from his fight Nelo and cutting back down to 54 is not going to be good for his health and he won't be 100%.

people are now calling bud a generational guy or even the goat in some cases & u have boots, a guy who has been earmarked for such heights as well, well if boots does make it in that conversation this will be one of those fantasy what if fights, imagine it happened blah blah, it would take imagination to make this fight & whatever u say about boots he wouldnt end up looking like a zombie in the ring, it would be a good fightCombat Talk Radio likes this.

boots should make it clear hes not going to make extravagant financial demands for a bud fight, he will clearly be the B side in this one and accepts that, not that it will make much difference i would say, doesnt seem to be any appetite for this fight for some reasonCombat Talk Radio
