Imagine Bud vs Benevidez, Andrade or Morrell.

Why do people think he has a chance against Canelo? The height?

I'd pick Plant over Crawford at 168.

Post July 29th he's letting the hype get to his head and is considering it. I hope somebody in his team talks him down because he'll be selling himself out for nothing.
I'm an old head and this reminds me of when Leonard wanted Hagler,Fans and media were scared for him.Bud is chasing greatness and a bucket load of money. Boxing!

Ray didn't jump 3 divisions for Hagler.

Its odd Bud now changed his mind so quickly, could be just random crazy talk But make no mistake Canelo- Crawford could very well be the Real Biggest fight in Boxing today ,two of biggest P4P undisputed champs ,Elite mexican vs Elite african american ,it doesn't get any better than that.
That's exactly what makes this fight Huge ! Especially if Canelo puts a hurting on Jermell .All African American fans will want revenge! And you know if it becomes tribal even some Mexican fans that hate Canelo will back him just because. And that translates to big,big money

Bud said for Canelo he would go to 168. Said this would be the biggest fight in boxing and he aint wrong. If he was to go to 168 and fight Canelo and win which he wont he goes down at top 10 GOAT
Correction, if Crawford goes up to 168 and beats Canelo, which will likely happen, he goes down as the GOAT. Top 5 at worst.

Nah I rate bud very highly and he's such a natural talent but 168 is way to big of a jump for him. Don't think he even walks round that heavy when he's not fighting maybe the mid 160s. I get he wants these legacy fights and these huge pay days now he's gotta taste of it against Errol and he deserves the big pay days but that's biting of more than you can chew. 154 is where he should go next regardless if it's charlo or Spence rematch or whatever but when you're getting past 160lbs then its just a crazy risk

And if it was a even playing field id be all for it because the things you said are true with the pound for pound status and the Mexican fighter Vs African America fighter them fights do great because both demographics get invested. But 168lbs is just way out of the comfort zone for Crawford especially when the guy you're fighting against 3 weights up from where your fighting is also elite. Would it sell ofc and when you're chasing the biggest fight possible and the legacy it's tempting to see that and think you know what why not I'll take it regardless the weight when in reality it's just not something that should be considered for him.

there's weight classes for a reason bud,
                  you said it yourself.

although bud may be the better boxer, his punch resistance has never been tested above 147. they hit real heavy at 168.

biggest weight class jump in recent memory was rigo vs loma i think

He's either delusional, talk out of his ass to get clout or trying to cash out. Canelo is the biggest money fight there is, Crawford will be 37 next year, he spent his entire career feasting on bums and cans earning minimum wage and now he wants that big lotto ticket, can't blame him for calling out Canelo.

The haters can say what they want, but the Spence fight getting made, and now this, are 100 percent because Boots is lurking at 147.
