Also can we just forget he pretty much just ducked Lara . I know he has earned his dues and taken some tough fights and now he’s older and probably wants to just ride off in sunset and fight easier match ups, but Lara is up in age himself and I would be a good farewell fight imo thoughts?

I would have picked him against both Janibek and Lara. He must either want to retire or is only looking for huge money fights at this point.

How old is he? I swear he was 40yrs old when he fought Canelo the 3rd time and that was ages ago.

I think he has retired but just not saying it in case an offer comes in that is too big to refuse.

G hasnt been the same since leaving abel... both of them should just make up and have one final farewell fight for G.

when G was with abel, his punches sounded like high power rifle going off, throwing monster hooks, etc...

When G was with Abel, before the 2nd Canelo fight, he was younger and his punches were in fact crisper. He needed nothing from his corner beyond a stool to sit on and a bucket to spit into. Golovkin's hands began to slow and idiot Abel's advice in Canelo 2 was to, instead of controlling the distance with a jab, stand and trade with the younger and quicker handed fighter. After the fight, instead of realizing and admitting his own ******ity, he just affirmed it, saying he didn't know why Golovkin didn't just stand and trade like he was told to do.

I thought Golovkin edged the 2nd fight, as many did, but if Golokin had followed Abel's advice, I think the fight would have been a very clear Canelo win.

If not mistaken, he has retired. Don't see any reason to come back to be honest, he has been in boxing for a super long time and he was not the same after he left Abel IMO, apart from age.
