He had to come up with something different instead of the typical "Let's get ready to rumblleeee!" or "Iiiit's Showtime"

What I'm curious about is what's all that stu/pid long wrapped hair all about?

The man recovered from a very serious accident in about 15 seconds. Let's give him his props. Nash out - His Majesty

Maybe it's just that I wish someone would say "cultural appropriation" over his dreadlocks that make him look like some kind of billy goat, but it's more that he's just an irritating cunt.

        "ARE YOU READY?"

        ".... yeah..."

        "I SAID ARE YOU READY?"

"Yes. I heard you the first time. Jesus."

And his catchphrase is just utter wank.

        "THE FIGHT. STARTS. NOW."

Well if it starts now, why are you interrupting it by giving introductions to the fighters? And why is the ref giving them instructions? It doesn't start NOW, does it? You lying fucking cunt.
I didn’t like your post because I agree with you, it’s because you sound like a Karen but this teeters on parody. I genuinely can’t tell if you’re genuinely upset about his catchphrase or just trolling. Lmao

In any case, I’m ok with him. He’s not my favorite, but he’s good enough. I agree that his catchphrase sounds forced, though…kinda’ like Bruce Buffer. It sounds intentionally over the top.

        These are my favorite announcers:

        1. Michael Buffer (“Let’s get ready to rumble!”)
        2. Jimmy Lennon, Jr. (“It’s Showtime!”…before Amazon Prime)
        3. Lupe Contreras (“¿Quién es el mas macho?”)

Jimmy Lennon is the closest to buffer

Buffer is elite. Lennon world class. The rest are domestic level and journeymen

There will neve be another buffer though. The voice and catchphrase are perfection. Been around about 40 years and nobody has been good enough to sniff the hand sweat around his mic.

Awful. Nice guy but awful. He tried so hard to outshine Canelo in one of those fights, disgusting really. He tried to make it all about himself. And he's an awful ring announcer. Must have connections or kosher privilege or something. Just a reflection of how silly and ***********al boxing has become to put a goon like this in such a high profile position.

Or was it a staged hoax crash phony event to get attention and sympathy? I'd like to see the hospital records or photo evidence.

No idea. But it seemed to be a stunt alright.

                    Media coverage?

I start watching fight cards an hour or so after they've started, precisely so I can fast-forward through his and everybody else's jaw ja-ck-ing.
