I'm really losing respect for Diaz. Looks like his good honest guy image is just that, an image. A good honest guy would give Paulie a chance to right the robbery.

So you can probably understand if Juan Diaz is becoming a bit perturbed. He's been listening to Paulie Malignaggi's rants and raves for going on two months now - and he's getting tired of it.

“Since that fight there's been so much controversy,” said Diaz. “There's just been so much stuff, people talking about that I lost, other people talking about that I won. But that's just boxing, that's the way it is.”

Of course, Paulie Malignaggi's standpoint is that he was held up in broad daylight by three three blind mice, the entire state of Texas and everybody and everyone that had anything to do with Juan Diaz' side of the room. Brooklyn's favorite-son is of the mindset that he was the victim of a vast conspiracy perpetrated on many levels by many different people who wanted nothing more than to stack the deck against him and see him lose when he faced Diaz in Houston back on Aug. 22. [details]
He cant understand Malinaggi was not treated fairly so as a result he is angry? They made him fight at 138, small ring in texas and Diaz had a lackluster performance youd think hed want to prove he won. Yes Juan your right you "won" so you dont need Malinaggi but have some integrity and be "cordial, polite and humble" and give him the rematch.

What poll had the fans split? All the polls taken the night of the fight on any website had Paulie winning with at least 60% of the fans if not more. Juan Diaz is losing his credibility in this sport. You want to move up to 140 yet make the fight at 138.5. Your obviously not worried about his punching power with 5 KOs. You just want him weight-drained. Golden Boy and Diaz should be ashamed of themselves. If you feel you are better than him, fight him on even terms. Be a man, not a Golden Girl.

While I agree that Diaz should give him a rematch, Diaz is still the bigger draw than Mailgnaggi and if Paulie's team are not going to offer more money for Diaz, in act they are offering less for the rematch, I wouldn't do it either. It has nothing to do with Diaz not wanting it.

The fact is that it's a really bad business deal. In rematches, you make more than the first fight not less! If Paulie is going to get more but Diaz less, how can anyone blame him for not taking it? I say right f.ucking on for not taking the BS deal, wait on a better one in which the actual draw gets, at the very least the same amount as last time, but it really should be more and then do it.

I guarantee that Diaz would do the rematch if he was not getting the BS deal they tried to offer him. Would you take less money in the rematch if it's going to be a big fight worth a lot more than the first one while the smaller draw gets more money as well? Didn't think so man. It's still a business/career first for the fighters, as sad as that may sometimes be for us fans. I think it's damn obvious why he's not taking it and rightfully so.
