He is right, Paul Malignaggi needs Juan Diaz.

he needs him now because he got another L on his record in a fight that he really won..nobbdy wants to fight the loser..if malignaggi had been given the fight like he deserves he would have the options to fight the bigger fights again

i would like to see hatton/marquez/or guererro say F Diaz and take a match with paulie knowing that he won but that wont happen...would be great tho and i would have alot of respect for whoever did it

you cannot blame Diaz for the decision, he fought a good fight and he thought he wont, the rematch has nothing to do with him now. Boxing is politics and it is showing right now. Diaz will make more money in his next fight then he would make having a rematch with Mali.......... Thats just the plain facts of it, whether he won or lost. Do you really expect him to say "I lost, I should have a 'L' on my record instead of a 'W' I am sure there are many people who scored this fight as a Win for Diaz. Many Many Many Many people, I am just not one of them, although it was very very close, possibly even a draw. A draw would have done well in this fight, a rematch would have had to happen. You cannot take anything away from Diaz after this fight tho.

Paulie won that fight, he has all the right in the world to say he was screwed because he was. Everyone knows that when a white boy goes to fight a hispanic in a hispanic state that there will be controversy and there was it was a complete sham on the boxing industry. Diaz needs Paulie not the other way because until he proves he won he didnt really win. Diaz is afraid of what the outcome would be on the east coast thats why he wont do it, he knows he lost and thats why he is so set on not having a rematch.
