Fair enough. You're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. Sure Crawford hasn't put anyone away inside 4 rounds. Fair enough. But he sure did come *very close* to putting Spence away in the 2nd round of their fight. And he also stopped Shawn Porter in his previous fight at WW. Porter had never previously been stopped.

Was Mayorga isnanely durable? Of course. I just can't see him eating flush shots from T.C. the way he looked against Spence. You're also neglecting to mention two other things here, that would make Mayorga susceptible to someone like Bud; 1)His very loose defense. Sure he could take a shot, but he got hit WAY more than he should have. And 2) His absolutely atrocious footwork.

If you don't think Bud would exploit these two things, you're dead wrong. Oscar had him on the deck in the first! Sure, that fight was @ 154lbs, but it was down to technique.

Sure, Mayorga was insanely tough. Nobody could ever dispute that much. But against a fighter like Bud, that's not going to be enough. His lack of professionalism/ability would be exploited very quickly. If Mayorga made it past 6 rounds with Bud, I would be shocked.

That's all reasonable. The only real connection between Mayorga and Crawford is the sparring between Mosley and Porter. Even after retiring after a long career and coming back, Mosley still had enough strength and pop to send Porter stumbling during sparring. It isn't a real fight but we know Mosley had limited success pushing Mayorga around when they did fight and was loading up on short right hands that he was walking through. This Porter was more fit than the Crawford version and that Mosley was way below the "washed up" Mosley that looked awkward against Mayorga. That version of Mayorga was way past his prime.

People judge Mayorga after jumping 2 weights and getting thrashed by Trinidad. He also lost to Corey Spinks but that was a partied out Mayorga.

mayorga was a beast at 147 and a difficult fight for anybody. He had an indestructible chin at 147 and ridiculous strength.

bud is amazing but not invincible. Mayorga gives him a tough fight regardless.
