Whyte now lives in Portugal and has lived there for some time. I think he fights like any other away fighter. He is licensed on the day of the fight, but then has to apply for every fight on UK soil.

It's not made clear by his comments. The AJ fight would have been sanctioned by BBBofc cause he always goes on about how they wouldn't use someone else. So surely Whyte would have had a license with them? Unless he did gave up his license voluntarily when he got the news (like Benn did) or BBBofc took it off him past weekend
