Prograis will need to pressure Haney for 12 rounds and not let up. Otherwise Haney wins the counter punch war from the outside.

For Regis to make some prograise he has to beat Haney!
Should be a good fight. it is a fair knock on Devin that he has not faced a puncher the calibre of Regis. But... With these younger guys develping their man strength, like Haney, I do not think the weight should be much of an issue. Also I actually think Haney is yet to sit down on his shots enough and the extra weight might give him the confidance to do so. If you look at Gervante and Haney, Gervante is compact, he does not seem to have the structure to handle the weight gain, or at least it does not look to me like it will affect his punch, he might even lose power, where as Haney has a wider frame that looks like it can take the weight and give him more power to add to his excellent jab.

As far as Regis, he is excellent. A bad outing means very little imo. Regis might well be able to catch Haney and if he does, he wins.

Regis looked better against Zepeda than he did against Zorilla.

I actually favor him over Haney because if Linares caught him, Prograis will and Prograis is a better finisher. Linares had him out but couldn’t finish him off.

Regis knocks Haney out in 8 rounds. Devin can't stop the straight left to save his life, and he doesn't have the power to keep Prograis off of him.

Regis just has to land his shots. That southpaw back hand straight should work wonders for him. If it gets close quarters, don’t sleep on Regis’ uppercut for sure. Another thing is that Haney fights straight up and down, no special effects. All Regis needs is a few solid shots and we should know something. There is also the chance that Haney slows just a bit with the added weight, which I highly doubt, but I don’t see him taking flush shots. I see a dance and hug fest from Devin, all night long.

Your in for a shock Regis is extremely overrated, this will be an easy fight for Haney that's why they wanted it rather than the top 135 guys.

Regis looked so bad in his last fight. Maybe it was just a fluke but if not then I don’t see him having any chance against Haney.

As a huge Prograis fan, this is fair. Haney is smoother and a more varied in ring technician. Prograis has more power, is more aggressive, and is no slouch in the ring. People on these sites just are all about what they saw last fight. Even the greats of yesteryear had bad outings against inferior fighters they took lightly or just were unmotivated for. Prograis may not be in his prime, but he is still close enough that Haney can lose to him outright.

Haney is a fighter. This is top shelf from him, moving up and taking a respected champ like Prograis straight out. I do NOT think Haney can KO him, but he has more than enough tools to dominate this fight if Prograis cannot establish something early on to make Haney worry. Prograis will be at his best for this fight, and all that needs to be seen is if his best is enough to beat a prime Haney.
