7 years as a pro and 32 fights yet he's apparently not ready to fight the champion? That narrative is why boxing is a joke these days. He is ready. In MMA they would have fought 5 years ago.

Any boxer should be ready for any fight. Exactly why they chose this profession. Forget the negativity. Focus on how the fight can be made. What needs to be done by each party. Will Showtime make the offer to Bud? Fans can say anything they want. This the internet. Fights are not made because of what fans want or don't want. Make the Ennis/Crawford fight NOW!

Ennis was born in 1997. Crawford was born in 1987. If Crawford intends to fight Ennis--and I hope he does--I would encourage him to make the fight as soon as possible. Crawford is still in his prime, but "primes" can be a fickle thing in any sport, and perhaps especially in boxing. Ask Roy Jones, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Donald Curry, etc.

Comparisons like this may be unfair, but Ennis is more like Mayweather than Broner. His work-ethic matches his physical and mental gifts. He has no bad habits. He may lose, but it won't be due to alcoholism/obesity/lack of training, etc.

Exactly. Certain fans never hold their heroes accountable for anything. Bozy and Dunkin avoided Crawford and all the Kavaliauskas types for years, blame the fans. They're enablers. You don't see them blaming Bozy who pulled his son's mandatory spot for the WBO title, intentionally.
