Hall of Fame honors, 11 world titles in six weight divisions, an Olympic gold medal, and being one of the biggest boxing office draws of his generation has not been enough to keep Oscar De La Hoya satisfied in retirement.

He beat Felix Trinidad in many eyes and had an overall great career.

But it does feel like he could have done even more if he hadn’t been sidetracked with issues outside the ring.

Oscar: "I don't think any fighter felt like i did when I stepped into the ring. I wasn't just fighting my opponent"

translation: I was imagining that I was beating my mother's face in, because she used to say I wasn't a real man and then pinch my nuts real hard until I cried, and say that they were too small just like my dad's

      good ******* is a mofo

Never liked Oscar but, he did what current boxers don’t do and that’s fight the best guys available consistently.

What has the bright lights created ? If anyone else 35 years ago talked like he has since retiring from the ring no one would have paid attention. First yea cry baby inbreed, lost in translation fool whatever you want to call it. This guy thinks he is helping himself and others ? What a jack rabbit dingo he became. I liked watching him fight, win or loose he did something for boxing at one time. Lies who cares keep it personal keep it to yourself. Learn to live with it and on your dying bed regergatate it if you want. What came first the camera or the ego. Find a moment by yourself, talk to a close friend a doctor who told this guy this was a good idea.? When did he become convinced it was a good idea to embarrass himself and boxing. Trans.......Trans..... transparent as the day is long. Forget about it. He still dont know how to pay the price.....

Everyone says this but think of the flip side, were all his opponents perfect, in their prime with zero issues? i mean pernell was a cokehead too and oscar got a close or some say gift decision, pernell was probably saying the same thing as oscar, imagine if i was more dedicated i could have dominated oscar and trinidad.

Oscar definitely seems to have regrets and didn't like the way he went out. Issues outside the ring, the comebacks.

Hard for these guys when it's all they know. But he was a very good boxer, boxers today dream of a jab and left hook like he had. He should be proud.

Shame he's a bit of a f'd up guy now. Never really had a childhood I guess.
