So how good was Errol before the crash? Was he the “not the same fighter anymore after the crashes” or was he just never that good? I’m confused. Does Errol beat Bud before the crashes? Some fighters dare to be great and move up divisions. No fighter ever has to move up doe. Monzon, Hagler and many others didn’t move up. Now if you move up and become successful then you have to judge them accordingly. I just always thought that Bud was better than Errol regardless of who Errol beat.

Errol was good enough before the crash to survive until the championship rounds in a more competitive fight. He looked like garbage and got beat UP like an amateur. He was better than that.
But I never saw how he could beat Bud, too slow too basic, no real one punch power.
