Back in the day has nothing to do with Crawford and Spence and Thurman and Porter or whoever is competing to day other than the history of the great performances they gave fans.... Crawford grinds and works as hard as anyone in the history of the sport and deserves all accolades and praise that we would give to anyone else who wins 9 world titles across 3 divisions....... It's disrespectful to the process to try and discredit Crawford because he did fight a "whatever guy from history".......... Crawford fought champions.....he fought mandatory opponents......he fought undefeated opponents........he fought former Olympians.........And he's fought 2 opponents who were ranked top 5 p4p and demolished both of them (Gamboa & Spence)......... It's not Crawford's job to make his opponents have great careers following his match up with them. It's his job to perform when he is matched up with them. Gamboa, Postol, Indongo, Horn, Spence, etc......each of those guys (with the exception of Indongo) and their fan bases had a lot to say about Crawford's ability to beat them before the bout.... Too small, not experienced enough, not strong enough, etc.... They were undefeated champs and they ran into the fists that belong to the champ out of Omaha, NE.... Just because Oscar fought Trinidad, doesn't mean Crawford's accomplishment loses it's value in history......

Most cliches are over used.... I hate when people label every talented individual a "GOAT" just because the are a fan of them right now. Even if they haven't accomplished much of anything in the sport (example....on this board someone was calling Jaron Boots Ennis a GOAT). Hate that Claressa Shields calls herself the "GWOAT".....it's the dumbest term out there. How can a woman be a better woman than another woman.....lol. Those are just a couple of the ones that come to mind.

Hell if he wants to play back in the day, my back in the day welterweight crew (Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Benitez) kicks the absolute shyte out of his.

With an EASY dominating win over Spence, Crawfords résumé isn’t in question. Neither is his qualification as current p4p #1.

Holds more weight than Bud unifying a weak 140 division. Sure it looks good on paper, but let's be real.
It took you this long to come up with names that easily pop up with a google search.....lol.

Mfer you trying to disrespect Crawford's accomplishments and put Ike Quartey in your argument?.......lol. Damn, you have simply exposed yourself as just a hater of Crawford. Clowns tend to do that to themselves. There's really no need to continue the conversation when you are willing to push out facts like "10 world titles across 6 divisions" as a great accomplishment but belittle "9 world titles across 3 divisions" by claiming one division was weak....

Clearly you no **** about the individuals who competed in that division.... You are one of those weak mfers who go off of the next man's opinion and ignorant statements and you adopt them as your own. Crawford fought the top guys in those divisions......Thus the reason he became the LINEAL CHAMPION in all 3 divisions......but you discredit them because you know **** about them.

You don't know **** about the legends you comparing him to. That has been exposed easily. I'm not interest in arguing your Google skills. I guarantee I've forgotten more about this sport than you've ever known.

            Ike Quartey?........lol.......FOH.

At this point, those who simply don't like Crawford will continue not to like Crawford regardless of what he does/have done. We've seen die hard BOXING fans give Crawford his just due.... We've even seen diehard SPENCE fans admit the greatness of Crawford....... But when someone simply hates a man, there's nothing that can be said or done for them to respect his accomplishments.

-9x world champion across 3 divisions
              -3x lineal champion
              -2x undisputed champion
              -2x fighter of the year
              -ESPY Award winner

I love Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Hagler, Benitez, Oscar, Trinidad, Hatton, Cotto, Robinson, Mosley, Whitaker, Manny, Bradley, etc..... but none of it causes me to look down on Crawford's career.

Crawford has proven he’s the best in his wgt class now.

But he hasnt proven to be p4p #1.

He has always been the longer guy in there.

I think what Inoue & Usyk have done are more impressive as p4p, because they’re moving up and beating bigger champions.

What? That’s exactly what Crawford has done and neither has a win over a fighter the caliber of Spence, let alone a dominant win.

Hmmm, im not saying crawford isn't a great fighter but this boxing era is WEAK. He could be better than even I think but we will never know cause his opposition is subpar.
Take a look at Oscar Delahoya’s AMATUER record. Now, take a look at Crawfords amatuer record. Also how many gold medals each has.
My opinion, Oscar would of wiped the floor with crawford at 130, 135 & 140 BUT 147 I think Crawford could give oscar a hard time.

You're faulting Crawford because of his measurements?..... That's laughable because we've seen other fighters get the ultimate praise because of the advantage that their measurements serve vs their opponents. Hell, EJ's whole persona was built around him being the "weight bully".... Crawford was called "too small" or "not a real welterweight" etc upon coming into the division. Crawford also beat 5 guys who all were naturally bigger than him upon getting to the division.

What about the individuals that clueless fans try to claim is a threat to Crawford's reign. Jaron Boots Ennis is constantly promoting how much bigger and stronger he is compared to the entire division including the elites like Crawford and EJ.....yet he consistently is being praised for beating guys like Lipinets & Dulorme.....former 140lb'ers trying to move up to the division.

What about Jermell Charlo....he's choosing to fight Canelo rather than facing Tim Tszyu, his mandatory. Some claim he's "daring to be great" by fighting Crawford rather than just pointing out what he's actually doing which is getting paid for a high profile fight. Charlo is a longer and bigger fighter who's been draining himself to fight at 154lbs when he should be competing at 168 anyway.... He and his brother.

Fact is, your assessment to support your opinion that he's not a proven p4p #1 is flawed being that fighters aren't great by pure measurements anyway. By your theory we should discredit Floyd's win over Manny being that he was 2 inches taller and had a 5 inch reach advantage.
