As a professional, I've been able to see Crawford make an adjustment or 2 and turn a great match up into a showcase of his dominance. Who has Oscar "dominated" so much you believe a fight vs Crawford would have ended up in him "wiping the floor" with him....... Humor me. Crawford's dangerous at 135, 140, and 147...(He didn't compete at 130). More dangerous at 147 as he's getting closer to his natural weight as his street weight is north of 170lbs.
Everyone always want to tear down his career by claiming he wouldn't have been able to compete in a era that was centered around some of the more popular names at welterweight. Ironically, when each of those fighters were asked about Crawford, they were highly complimentary of Crawford and what they see in him. Hearns, Duran, Sugar, Oscar, Whitaker, etc....all have been asked about Crawford and none of them are close to being as negative towards his value to the sport as some of these "so called" diehard boxing fans who've never competed at that level.
Regardless of all the opinions and scenarios.....the FACTS are.....Crawford has dominated 3 divisions and became the Lineal champ in each division. And he's yet to be pushed to his limit during the process, showcasing he's a different breed compared to them. Even the individuals that were quoted as being tough competition and had the ability to expose the Omaha native going into the fight like the undefeated top 5 p4p Gamboa....or the undefeated #2 Jr. welterweight Viktor Postol. Or most recently....the man he was avoiding and too small for, an undefeated top 5 p4p unified champion Errol Spence Jr.
My question is....why doesn't other fighters get the ridicule and comparisons to former greats.....Like Tank Davis, Jaron Boots Ennis, David Benevidez, Naoya Inoue, etc..... There are many greats in the divisions they compete in....but those guys are marveled as if they are showcasing dominance never seen in this sport. Meanwhile Crawford becomes the first Undisputed in the 4 belt era in 12 years....then 5 years later he becomes the first male to do it 2x.....but the response to him is......"but he didn't compete in 'this' era or 'that' era
