The reason they were given it is irrelevant, the issue is they were given it and didn't win it. Haney ended up actually winning it so it became irrelevant in his case.

There's no way Haney/Loma could have happened earlier as both fighters were fighting on different platforms. And neither Hearn nor Arum pushed for it as no offer from either side was made. Nevertheless, Loma was severely criticized for it. In comparison, Tzsyu and Charlo have been fighting on the same platform. Charlo cancelling the scheduled fight because of the injury is what I recall the reason why it didn't happen.

That's the way it went with Charlo and Tzsyu, the injury is what prevented the fight from happening.

It doesn't matter why it didn't happen. That doesn't change the fact that Tszyu is just as much an E-mail champion as Haney was. Any attempt to spin it with any other narrative is just obvious bias and hypocrisy.

I'm not even blaming Charlo. Fighters in this sport pretty much do what they want to do. It's up to him if he never fights Tzsyu.
