If I were boots I'd have a stay busy fight at 54 riase his profile, and let the other fighters in the division know he is around, unless he fights Ortiz or stanois it's up hill for him, he has a horrible team behind him!

I don't see a problem with Crawford moving up to 154 to get the best fights there. However, if he is planning that, he should vacate the 147 belts as soon as possible. Boots should get an opportunity to fight the Stanionis and Rocha level fighters with a belt on the line. If Boots gets a few of the belts at 147, maybe he can raise his profile enough to get Crawford at 154 before Bud retires.

        NSB, is Crawford ducking Boots?

Wait, are you suggesting that Boots is a bigger threat than Charlo at 154? You CANT be saying that right?

From everything Bud has been saying, he's vacating and moving to 154

There is just not enough money to satisfy both parties for a fight with Jaron Ennis. Moreover, Ennis is a very risky fighter too. Boots is young and still has a lot to prove.

He has his whole entire career ahead of him and has not achieved what the more established fighters have achieved in this sport. His place is in the new era of welterweights.
Basically a high risk and low reward fight

I know I wouldn't put Boots in there with Crawford if I was Boots' manager. People just wanna' throw stuff on the wall and see what sticks. A year ago or less, I'm sure people were interested in this but the beatdown on Spence changed all that perception. From the uncharacteristic weigh-in rapping by Crawford, to the Eminem ring walk, to the beatdown administered, and the smack talk to Charlo ringside, Bud triple stamped how much of a laser-focused, all business mentality this guy has.

The fact that he isn't out and about on TMZ headlines acting a fool, keeps his nose clean, and is just all business makes me like him all the better.

            Boots, Charlo@154, Spence...

He beats them all right now. Well deserved...

Too bad Charlo is moving up to face Canelo. If the course of fighting Tim would had stayed there was that potential match up if Charlo was victorious. It would had been a huge fight with both guys momentum and the attempt of But going for a third undisputed champ at a different weight.

I've said nothing of the sort. I asked whether NSB thinks Crawford is ducking based on his verbal statement that he's refusing to fight one of his mandatories.

Because...that's what NSB said about other fighters who have done the same, that they're ducking.

Problem is , charlo is likely gonna lose to canelo .

Crawford should , fight right away vs thurman and make easy money while adding a name to his resume. Fight him in october

talk with spence about signing an extension to feb for their rematch at 154 .

This gives charlo time to come off his loss to canelo and fight tyszu in the spring .

That sets up crawford vs charlo in the late summer .

if Bud had no fights lined up? and was staying at 147?

yes, it would be a duck.

I said as much this would happen.

The main problem is the Boots fight wouldnt be a big fight at all. He just doesnt have much of a profile, or at least one signature win or name. The thing is, he is 26, hes had time to make more noise. I said it before, but unfortunately people dont know he really exists.

Crawford is at this point trying to make money. But if he did stay at 147 and skipped his mando that would be BS. But hes going to 154 for bigger fights and you can't blame him, he'll be trying to make history and get paid. Boots is dangerous obviously, Crawford wouldnt even get much credit or recognition for beating Boots due to his low profile. And it certainly wouldnt sell much. Its the fight I want to see though the most. But ppl are acting like the Charlo fight is coup out. That should be an awesome fight. Not like Crawford is fighting a bum

Well, Boots will get the vacant IBF belt, and go from there. I dont think for one second Crawford is scared of Boots in the slightest. If the fight made money and was huge fight, he would take it.
