I think when you make the legit big fights, the fans come out. Boxing’s popularity is actually very good right now, neither of these guys are crossover stars, they’re just excellent fighters. Lets keep the super fights rolling.

I truly believe Ennis-Crawford can do these numbers as well, because it’s just an excellent fight period.

Now watch Canelo and Charlo match or even surpass that number of buys.

I thought Boxing was a dying sport some say

If tank fights shakur or haney I doubt it does a million because of the same fan base will be double dipping. If charlo had a monster reputation at 168 just like benividez that fight would sell more than canelo vs benividez.

but with that being said those are very good numbers.
Mayweather vs Mosley 1.4 million ppv buys

Did less then half the business that Ryan-Tank did on a short promotional run LOLLL..

and that’s deemed a success!? LOL

Fury-Wilder fights all did more business and all were deemed a disappointment in terms of commercial success.. LOL..

Ryan Garcia is the new face of Boxeo PPV.. just further proof you need the correct promoter for these fights to bring the paying Latino fanbase to the table.

That was mayweather plus that was 13 years ago when people was not streaming like they are today. Very rarely do you see two fighters of the same race headlining ppv’s and they do well. I don’t even think mayweather vs berto did the numbers Crawford and Spence did.

Correct but I wanted to also add in that the way the sport of boxing is right now those are very solid numbers when no one outside of those 4 guys hit over a million buys in a while plus when ppl say PPV is dead it's not HBO DAZN killed the market with basic fights no promotion not one side house hold name of your not Manny Loma Joshua any fighter the casuals know plus no one can't say that PBC has been dominating or broadcasting more fights for the sport in recent years not saying the best match ups but fights that are better then the opps

I hope that now fans understand that it takes 2 to tango. So when Spence was saying 70-30 he was saying that Bud never sold ppvs and that he should take less. What I was saying was that they can both sell the fight and that it would sell ppvs. Just give Bud a good percentage l. You can’t go by what someone has sold in the past when a super fight is being made because no matter what, both brought something to the table and that’s “public interest”.

No one had a clue who Canelo was then.

What did Oscar promoting it have to do with it?
